Hotel is grand from the outside and very very tired inside My room was small and I clean, drawers had hair inside , wardrobe was rickety and dirty . Receptionist seemed just as tired as the hotel only a little cooler, Hoped for a better experience but felt very let down

We stayed for 1 night. Booked a double room and was given a triple room with 2 singles pushed together using a double headboard so didn’t fit the beds. The beds were comfortable. There was no socket near the mirror to plug the hairdryer in. The bathroom was in real need of refurbishment. They had to coach tours booked in which meant they couldn’t accommodate us for dinner that evening. We were told to walk to the village to eat, don’t take your car as you won’t be able to park. We asked to book for breakfast, again due to the coach parties we couldn’t have the time we wanted but agreed to but on arrival we still had to wait nearly 30 minutes to get seated. Food was ok

Professional, considerate and caring
The staff were extremely helpful and considerate. My daughter had a medical incident and all the team pulled together and went above and beyond to ensure we were supported and received the help we needed. They also arranged a quiet room for her to recover and showed great care discretion and consideration during this emergency incident. Their excellent customer care should be acknowledged and they should be praised for reacting calmly and professionally to ensure the incident was handled so well that we were able to continue our stay. Thank you to everyone involved for their support.

The expectations were high as you enter the property to be greeted by the most beautiful historic building only to have all anticipation of luxury dashed the moment you walk through the door. Actually before then as I had to park quite the distance away from reception to struggle with luggage. The hotel inside is very tired and smelled awful. The greeting at reception was lack lustre and perfunctory and I had to wait 15 minutes before anyone appeared to acknowledge I was there at breakfast (which was decidedly average)…. Good WiFi and in room television… For a hotel marketing itself on luxury and spa I was underwhelmed.

Beautiful location and surroundings but the hotel as an old manor could do with some modernisation. Room was cold and dated and asked to have heating on advised they are cost saving. Beds awful, showers old. Best thing was spa and fitness centre…
