Very spacious 3 bedrooms and 2 baths country cottage (Additional efficiency, 1 bedroom/1 bathroom available to rent ) overlooking the Blueridge Mountains. Large open family room and kitchen. 2 Queen beds, Bunk bed with two twins, and a day bed (2 twins.) Additional 1/1 available for large parties (not rented out alone, only as part of this vrbo). Private pond, 170 acres with lots of trails to explore. Firepit, basketball hoop, swing set, fort, pickleball court, fishing, and more.

Great stay
This place was clean, confortable and perfect for our group, and the owners were incredibly helpful and kind to us - they were even better than the place. Two very minor downsides - it's a bit of a drive into Lexington (about 6 miles, and a slow drive on country roads) where our activities were, and the high windows let in light earlier in the morning than we wanted to wake. But those were minor to us. We'd stay here again, without question.

Erin and Doug were the best VBRO hosts I have ever had the pleasure renting from. They were fantastic communicators and very helpful with area information. We were celebrating our son’s graduation this week . The house was the perfect, picturesque, location for a fun small party bbq. The kitchen had everything we needed and the home was beautiful and spacious. Some basketball, tether-ball, pickleball playing and ending the evening by the fire pit made for happy memories. A few guests even went to visits the cute donkeys. I would highly recommend visiting this VRBO location and enjoys the beautiful location.

Amazing views!
We loved the great mountain view! The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. The kitchen was well stocked. The host was quick to respond and very helpful. We enjoyed playing pickle ball and exploring the property. It was close to Lexington, but felt very far from everywhere! Calm and relaxing visit!

VMI Reunion Getaway

Best rental ever!
My friends and I were in town for a wedding. The house far exceeded our expectations. The property was BEAUTIFUL and peaceful. There was a lot of privacy in addition to a lot of amenities. The cottage has everything we needed and more. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. There was soft music and the lights were on when we arrived. They also had farm fresh eggs in the fridge and offered to save us a trip to the store. They let us check out two hours late because there was no one else checking in. The beds were comfortable and the view was gorgeous. They have put so much thought into every aspect of the cottage. The pictures do not do it justice! Will definitely be back if we are in the area again!

Wonderful spot; gracious hosts; a Hit!
We had a too short delightful time in Lexington. The property was on a hill over looking the Shenandoah Valley; every effort was made to welcome us; there’s a small enclave of chickens, turkeys, miniature donkeys, and other creatures the children loved; the surrounding Maurrey River valley was fun to explore and enjoy-we loved it!

Little Details Make A Big Difference
Little details like relaxing music playing when the family arrived and the invitation to take anything from the beautiful garden made all of us feel so welcomed and comfortable. There were fun activities for all ages and gorgeous views. Highly recommend for families looking to get away from the business of life and enjoy spending time relaxing and playing together.

Amazing mountain views from a well equipped farmhouse. We were not on-site much but enjoyed the full kitchen and enjoyed the deck overlooking the beautiful property. Beds are only doubles so be prepared if you are used to larger bed sizes. Farm fresh eggs were awesome!

I wanted a place where we could all be together for my daughters college graduation What a wonderful find! This is the best place we have stayed at. The cottage is large and family friendly. The grandkids enjoyed playing outside on the rope swing and seeing the farm animals. We cant wait to come back again!

The VRBO gem of Lexington
We ABSOLUTELY loved every second of our stay. It could not have been any more perfect! The property sits high on top of the hill with stunning views. The house offers everything for little and big kids alike! Between times spent wetting lines in the pond, relaxing swinging on the rope swing or ripping down the zip line, or sharing stories around the fire pit, there was an abundance of activities to keep everyone well entertained. The house is spacious and comfortably slept our large party. We had quick and easy access to VMI. We would give our stay 10 stars if we could and will definitely return!

God’s Country
The view from this property is breathtaking! We were able to pet and feed the farm animals. We sat by the pond and fed the ducks. We hiked along numerous trails on the property. There was something for everyone to do. The owners were respectful of our privacy, but were so friendly and accommodating when we bombarded them with questions about the animals and farm life. We highly recommend this property and we’ll definitely be back!

Amazing stay for a family
This is the perfect mountain getaway property, especially with kids. Our 4-year old LOVED the swings, trampoline, toys, etc. We all enjoyed the farm animals, firepit, and beautiful views of the mountains. The property owners were so thoughtful and prompt with communication. We are already planning a return trip.

Best house we’ve ever stayed at
I don’t even know where to start. This was by far the best trip we have ever had and the best house we have ever stayed in! Even before we came, Erin and Doug sent us ideas of places to go and tailored the suggestions based on the ages of our kids and what they thought we would like the most. We took many of the suggestions and they did not disappoint. We didn’t ask for this, they just wanted to share all the great things to do in the area. When we got there the place was so clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. There were farm fresh eggs in the fridge and even some new ice cream in the freezer that they had too much of for us to enjoy. The 10, 5 and 2 yo kids immediately went to the room with the bunk beds and were soon absorbed with all the cool toys! This kept them entertained for hours on end. (Enough that I was able to actually finish a novel I started in the 4 days we were there! Anyone with kids knows this is unheard of. Haha) My 16 yo loved swinging on the back porch swing, reading and enjoying the fresh air. My husband and I loved the views and the fire pit. The saucer swing and outdoor play areas were also a huge hit with all 4 of my kiddos. There was something for everyone. When we had a quick question, Erin was only a text message away and was quick to answer our question and help us out. Overall, I would stay here again and I’m sure my kids would love this too!
