Felt Like A Scam
The rental management company for this listing was difficult. They contacted me outside of VRBO, asking for my credit card over the phone. When questioned, the person told me that they lost my credit card number. When I pointed out that I paid through the VRBO app for secure payment and that they should have my payment information, I was then told that they had NOT lost my credit card number that they indeed had it but still needed me to call them and give it to them over the phone to "complete my reservation". This made me even more nervous and I began to feel as though I was being scammed. I made it abundantly clear to them that I would not be paying them with my credit card over the phone. Then they came back at me with yet a different reason for needing me to call them and give them my card number. I was told that their online payment system was not compatible with VRBO's online payment system. So, THREE different reasons why I needed to call them with my credit card number? No, this sounded like a SCAM! I immediately requested that VRBO cancel my reservation and I also communicated this to the rental management person to cancel as well. I was told it would be cancelled.
Also, I would like to point out that the person I was communicating with from the rental management company identified herself as Heather. The person who reviewed me as a client was named Patrick. VERY FISHY!
My family and I NEVER stayed at this property. I cannot comment on the property.
