Summer 2020 Stay
Wow! What a place. We stayed in August ‘20 as a seven (5 of us as a family and 2 grandparents) and at no point did it feel crammed. The property felt spacious, well laid out and has been maintained to a very high standard. We had lots of days out therefore was a great base for the attractions on the North Coast. Also, it provided a cosy home feel on those unavoidable rainy days! Before our stay we asked lots of questions about the property and the surrounding attractions and Kim was more than helpful in answering any queries we had. Thanks Kim! Would definitely book Barn Lane again and really recommend it to either families or couples looking for a break. The Henderson’s | Cheshire

Superb
My overall impression of this cottage is fully positive. The house is very bright with natural light pouring from all sides even on a dull, cloudy day. It is quite open plan yet private at the same time for the various family members. We've stayed in a great number of Homeaway properties around the world over the years and this has been the best. The communication by Kim matched the standard of the property.

Lovely Rural Getaway
The property is stunning. The setting is rural and private. The interior of the property is a thing of beauty with an open plan design on ground floor with option of closing off kitchen. It feels like its been created by a very creative/artistic couple/team. The bedrooms are of good size with excellent toilet/shower facilities (and bath in the main bathroom). The shops in nearby Limavady were very good with an excellent butcher, bakery, greengrocers (and a large Tesco to supply the rest). Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. There are 2 outdoor seating areas, one good for morning and afternoon sun the other good for the evening. We loved this place and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of nearby amenities. We were able to get to Portrush, Portstewart, Benone, Castlerock beaches/facilities all within about 35 mins

Great Place
Communication and payment was very easy. The house is gorgeous. Our son and daughter in law and two friends from England stayed with us very comfortably. The three bathrooms are excellent. We shopped at Tesco in Limavady and cooked at home a lot. The Depot Bar in Limivady is very modern and there are also older traditional pubs. We went for the British Open in Portrush, but we also drove the Antrim Coast, shopped in Ballymena and went to Londonderry. It is a great location, out in the countryside, but close enough to town to get everything you need. I recommend staying there highly. It was a very relaxing experience.

Wonderful holiday in an amazing property
We had a wonderful stay at this stunning property. The home is ultra modern yet comfortable and relaxing to stay in. The decoration and fittings are first class and very well thought out. We really did not want to leave at the end of the week. It has inspired us to apply some of the ideas to our own home. The owners were very welcoming on arrival and showed us all of the feature of the house. The gift of salted caramel chocolate brownies was very much appreciated. The information files provided were excellent and contained everything that we needed. This is a great location for the north coast of Northern Ireland and the north part of the Wild Atlantic Way. The Titanic museum and Belfast are within visiting distance, and are a must.

Fantastic house and great area to stay, explore and enjoy a warm Irish welcome
On arrival we received a lovely welcome from Kim and very much enjoyed our resulting week in Northern Ireland. The house is beautifully designed, spacious and lets in loads of light and the views of the surrounding countryside. It is well equipped, particularly with regards to the kitchen (something that you can't say about many holiday properties). The house is in a good location - out in the countryside but not too far off the beaten track. If you are prepared to drive around to fully explore the area there is plenty to see and do within an hour of the property. The coastline is of course the number one attraction. The drive between Ballycastle and Cushendell on the minor coastal road is particularly good, as is a drive out to Malin Head. Derry has a good atmosphere - walking the city walls and the murals in the Bogside are a must if you visit the city. Definitely recommend Harry's Shack in Portstewart for a great fresh fish lunch. Brown's in Derry is also very good. If you end up passing through Magherafelt, check out Mary's Bar, particularly upstairs - it's the most palatial pub you'll ever see! Above all, enjoy the warm Irish welcome and sense of humour that you'll find pretty much everywhere and don't forget to raise a glass (or two) of Bushmills' whiskey!

A property that delivers what it promised in spades! Superb modern house in wonderful location. Overall design and attention to detail so pleasing to the eye and very comfortable and convenient. Our dog also had a great time, once she had adapted herself to the tiled floor! Owners very helpful and even dropped my hiking boots off with people in Coleraine after we had left and forgotten them! Would recommend a stay here to anyone and we hope to return in the future.

Contemporary home in idyllic Northern Irish countryside
My family from the U.S. returned to County Derry in N. Ireland this summer to explore our ancestral roots. We stayed in this beautiful 3 bdrm/3 bath home with spectacular sunsets over Lough Foyle. It is easy to imagine yourself 50, 100 or 200 years ago gazing out on the cow pasture and rolling green hills. There were homemade brownies and fresh flowers to greet us when we arrived. Kim and Derek provided all of the information we needed prior to our arrival and they were always available to answer questions and to provide helpful information during our visit. A washer and dryer are located in the downstairs bath. This property is perfect for visits to the walled city of Londonderry, a walk through Free Derry, or drives to the northern coast to visit Giant's Causeway, Bushmills or Game of Thrones sites. It is an easy and scenic drive to the Inishowen peninsula and to County Donnegal, both of which boast breathtaking views. We also took a day-trip to Belfast for a black cab "Troubles tour" (highly recommended) and a visit to the Titanic museum. The house has both a back and a front terrace to enjoy, and the interior rooms are spacious and comfortable. It is also perfect for entertaining and provides a charcoal grill. I asked for extra hangers (only 3/bdrm are provided) and Derek brought them 'round after we returned from our daylong excursion. The home displays beautiful hand-painted artwork from the owners' family. The cows in the field greeted us every evening as we turned into the drive of the house, and they were standing outside the front windows each morning 'joining' us for breakfast. They enjoy treats of parsnips! The only deficiencies that we found in the house were an absence of closets or hanging space for clothes (each bedroom provides 2 hooks and one bedroom has a hanging bar) and there are no shelves in the shower stalls for shampoo/soap, nor hooks for hanging extra towels or clothing items ~ but each bath has a heated towel bar, and the downstairs tile floors are heated. The house is perfect for couples, adult families or for families with young children and the upstairs bath has a bathtub. We hope to return in summers to come!

Contemporary cottage in a perfect location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 1 Barn Lane. The home was designed and decorated in a stunning yet welcoming fashion. The location was perfect for touring, Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-rede bridge, Glenveagh National Park Doungal, Royal Portrush, Glenarrif Forest Park and Bushmills. The house was very clean, and well supplied with nice towels, your typical kitchen appliances and everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We were also greeted with a plate of the richest brownies a very welcome touch after a long drive. Thank you –
