Perfect location for a lovely stay in Lisbon. Smallish hotel in ideal location in Alfama district. Close to the castle and easily walkable to most areas of Lisbon. Right on the 28 tram tracks. Great staff and facilities. Nice rooms, if a little small. Views right across Lisbon to the river. Yummy breakfast and 24 hr free hot drinks. You even get a mural to look at during breakfast on the courtyard. Highly recommended.

We loved this hotel so much! Great breakfast, perfect location and a staff that was second to none. They helped with dinner reservations and anything we needed. Right outside the hotel is a hustle and bustle with shopping and restaurants steps away. Our room had an amazing sea view and balcony. Augusto is nearby and was the best brunch we had on our trip. Worth the visit!

Breakfast was great, staff friendly and helpful for any accommodation or question. Very clean and new rooms with great amenities and welcome gift from the staff. Very walkable location off of tram 28 within Alfama with a great gated terrace overlooking the water (where they close the gates at later hours for safety). Only downside is limited lunch and dinner menu with majority appetizers, but many restaurants nearby.

We stayed here Mid May for 3 nights. We arrived late at night about 11.30pm and the taxi driver dropped us right outside the hotel, so it was very convenient. Just a 15minute drive. BF: Decent had a decent but limited spread. There was a different slice cake to look forward to everyday and fresh fruits. Some croissants n fresh yoghurt. There was wine as well but we didn’t have that in the mornings. Location: Love Love Love. The main attractions like the lovely Alfama lookout and the castle of Jorge were very close and even the lovely yellow tram 28 (I think) was passing right outside the hotel. Room: A little small for 2 people to share but we were hardly in the room so it served our purpose Customer service: Excellent. In fact the front office (can’t remember his name) even upgraded us to a river view room on request the 2nd night. Will definitely stay here if we visit again :D

Loved this hotel for the breakfast, coffe/tea all day. Very pleasant sitting area with spectacular water views. Very pleasant staff at front desk. Be prepared for noise outside- busy tourist area- restaurant across the street constantly scraping chairs as they move them across the pavement again and again!

We front-ended our trip with an extra 3 days in Lisbon before our cruise. The Pousada Alfama is located in the historic Alfama section of Lisbon with its 1920s-era street car in front of the hotel. Great staff! Great breakfast! When we come back to Lisbon we will stay here again. Great start to a great trip.

I loved this hotel, the area, the staff, the breakfast, cute courtyard for cocktails and bites, everything. I did upgrade my room upon check-in, I wanted a little more outdoor space and ambiance. I highly recommend this hotel.
