Gouged Pricing, Disappointing & Rubbish.
Good points: Car park. Plenty of space and very secure and ideal for our weekend in Liverpool to watch Taylor Swift. Bag Drop - We arrived early (10.00am) and hotel was happy to take the bags and store them. Bad Points: Our reservation was for 3 people and therefore very clear to hotel that we needed the sofa bed made up for our son. I also reminded the hotel of this when I dropped the bags. When we arrived at the hotel at 00.30 to get our key, it took hotel staff an age to find our luggage (should have left it in the car in hindsight). Any decent hotel would have put our luggage in the allocated room in the knowledge that we were not returning until after midnight due to the TS concert (not Hampton though). Completely knackered we dragged the bags to the room only to find the sofa bed hadn’t been set up. The room phone didn’t work so had to head to reception to advise. Although apologetic and expedient at setting up the sofa bed, this is just not good enough and attention to detail has gone out of the window. Breakfast ends at 10.00 with prison like efficiency. Most other hotels I stay in are usually 10.30 even on a weekday and this was a Sunday morning. We stayed in room 626 and because of the Taylor Swift tax (bearing in mind we booked this in July 2023 for a June 2024 stay) we paid the best part of £400 for what should be a £100 a night room. The toilet seat cover was cracked, the flush was sticking and the room was dog-eared to say the least. Won’t be staying.

We have stayed in many hotels throughout the world but this one is about the best of the lot. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful.The room was quiet,comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality.

Well we had issues right from the off, one of the keys did not work, I went back down as my Wife was in the shower so couldn’t let me in, I got that changed it still played up. But she was out of the shower and heard me trying the door. On to the breakfast !! What a mess down there, we booked and payed for 4 breakfasts and got two part breakfasts there was no mushrooms, black pudding, sausages, or beans, the bacon was never fully cooked as they had to rush some through, surely the chef comes out and tops the trays up, the hash browns were scraps plenty egg and tomato, so had to put scraps on my plate. No croissants or pastries. That’s £60 wasted in my mind. I hope to get a refund but probably won’t. Then on return to the room and both keys would not work, I went down to get the keys re-calibrated or what ever you call it, they still didn’t work, and the staff tried their keys and decided it was a battery issue, 45 mins later we could enter our room the receptionist told us that we could check out later, so we went back to our room and packed our cases, I’m not one to complain directly to the hard working staff, it’s management level issues, directions needed in checking the foods hot and plenty to go around, till 10am not take everything away and 10 and put chairs on tables, just well this has run out and there’s no more of this ready !!! answers.

Nice building and in a quiet yet convenient area. Check-in was smooth and staff very helpful throughout. Breakfast was ok, would have appreciated more hot veggie options such as mushrooms and the hash browns were rock hard and inedible. I slept in a sofa bed with dangerous sharp edges and cut my leg; wouldn't recover for kids.
