Great house! We had 7 people and 2 dogs stay. There are enough beds for 14 though. Large family room and big family room on lower level. Plenty of hang out space. Kitchen was big enough to cook every meal in. They should invest in new pots and pans, also baking sheets. They are very worn and old. There are 2 wrap around decks that are closed in so our dogs could be outside freely. We did bring a baby gate for the front stairs to block that off. A huge picnic table and hot tub on one of the decks. Great views into the forest from it. The house is on the end of a dirt road cul-de-sac. VERY secluded and private. We loved it. Minutes away from all of the caves and trails. We took our 19, 24, and 28 year old daughters and their boyfriends. Everyone had a great time. We would stay at this location again.

Cousin’s Weekend
We spent the weekend in the cabin catching up, playing games, and eating! The weather was raining so we did not get to do much outside except spend some time in the hot tub. We had plenty of beds and seating for everyone to just relax. The cabin had instructions for everything but the fireplace so we decided to not mess with it. Overall it was a great place to stay!

Horrid Smell
There was an awful smell of raw sewage in the entire house when we arrived. Luckily the weather was nice so we had all the windows open and ran the showers and sinks. Ended up have to light a fire in the fireplace to burn off the smell. there was a hint of it the entire weekend unfortunately.

Great Location
Great location for a family gathering. Enjoyed the wrap-around porch and fire pit. The only negative was the steep gravel driveway, but it was not a problem for our group.

Great cabin
Cozy getaway! The rustic beams were great. Kitchen well equipped. I wished there were some more lights, I know some people like cabins to be darker/cozier but I would have preferred more light. For being pet friendly it was quite clean. We didn’t have pets and I didn’t realize until after we booked that pets were welcomed but none of our allergies flared up so that told me they keep it quite clean!

Great house and porch
Everything was good. Mattresses were a bit worn and floors were very creaky, guess you have to expect that a bit for a log cabin.

Hocking Hills Vacation
The house was beautifully decorated and clean. It was large and spacious for the thirteen of us which included 6 adults and 7 kids between 11 - 16. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. We did have a couple of issues during our stay. These were weak WiFi (some of our group were supposed to work while at the property but weak service prevented that), the dryer took forever to dry a load of clothes, the steps, though beautiful, the raw edge created a few near falls, and the grade of the gravel drive way. We called on the WiFi and dryer. The WiFi worked well for a day, then we had more issues. We also called on the dryer and someone came. There was a lot of lint in the dryer vent, but unfortunately that did not remedy the situation and it still took over 2 hours to dry a medium load. However, as mentioned in a previous review, there needs to be better description of the parking availability and steep grade of the driveway. We nearly had a vehicle get stuck getting out of a gravel drive as well as a truck in 4-wheel drive. Many of the adults and kids slipped on the loose gravel causing many falls, skinned knees and palms. Someone with difficulty walking would unlikely be able to traverse the grade of the drive.

The lodge was immaculately clean. Even the windows were spotless for viewing the beautiful woods surrounding the cabin. The location was perfect. It was very quiet in the woods yet very close to Hocking Hills attractions.

Disappointed group
1. Only half of the jets in the hot tub worked. 2. There is a high-pitched screeching noise when the top-level shower is used and the water pressure there is very low. 3. The main level bathroom sink nearest the window has a clog. 4. The refrigerator handles are loose and look to have been poorly repaired in the past. And the overall size of this refrigerator is very small for a cabin that feeding larger groups of people. 5. The garbage disposal in the kitchen sink was ineffective with simple cucumber and potato peelings. 6. The dishwasher is not secured in its space. When we loaded the dishwasher with our first load of dinner plates the whole unit tipped forward. 7. The sliding glass patio doors near the dining table are very difficult to move. 8. Mattresses are thin/worn and bed frames are felt. May want to consider upgrading. 9. The light under the microwave is burned out and there’s no other light source near the cooking area. 10. Lastly, a better description of the parking availability and steep grade of the driveway is needed in your marketing materials. We nearly had a vehicle get stuck on the gravel drive. This is a beautiful cabin but needs some serious TLC and maintenance.

Thanksgiving 2022
We were excited about our stay but due to unforeseen circumstances-with a family member being hospitalized- only half of our group could go. We could not get a refund because I didn't purchase the insurance. My girls told me that it was not a kid friendly property and very little grassy area (dogs weren't there though). Ended up being a very expensive holiday that only a few could enjoy. 😢

Roomy cabin for large family
Plenty of room in the living room and kitchen for our family of 15. We liked there was enough bedrooms for the individual families. The kitchen had all the supplies we expected. Less than five stars because there’s absolutely no yard and parking close to cabin had room for two cars and we have five- most cars had to park in the round about. The kitchen floor didn’t look dirty but I wiped up a spill and the paper towel reflected a clearly dirty floor. We took a baby gate for the stairs since we have a toddler but because the stairway entrance was not flush (rough timber on both sides) we couldn’t use it so that was a worry the length of our stay.

Family Fun
The cabinitself was terrific. It was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It's large and had plenty of room. A few things to keep in mind if you plan to stay here 1)The property is situated on a very steep hill making it a bit of a challenge to park cars and unload 2)There is not any green space to run around and play 3) The fire pit is located far from the cabin which is great for safety but it's up at the top of a steep hill so it's a challenge to get to. For elderly family members, the hill was a challenge. However, the property is close to a general store and hiking trails. It's also very quiet surrounded by greenery. .

Pre- Thanksgiving Family Fun
We arrived to find the heat not working, even after making a special trip out to replace thermostat batteries. A repairmen came quickly to temporarily fix it, but had to call a second time when it went out again. Despite the cold beginning, we had a great time and enjoyed the home. The layout served us well with our large family. I would highly recommend this property to others!

We had a fabulous time. And we really enjoyed that everything was near by.
We had a fantastic time. And the cabin is so beautiful and so peaceful. We just wish that the furniture was updated. The sofa had some tares and the dishwasher was leaking and the refrigerator was a bit small. And the beds were awful. And the dryer took forever to dry your clothes. Other then that we had an amazing time. But definitely need some new stuff. Fir as expensive as it was. All those things should definitely been updated.

Excellent home for grandparents with grown children and grandchildren!
We just returned from an exceptional family vacation! Our two grown children, and their families, each took over a level of the home (one upstairs and the other downstairs) while my husband and me used the bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. What a great layout! The wrap around deck provided lots of dry running space for toddlers and much needed relaxation space for the adults. I hope to return to Tall Timbers next summer!
