Overall, the stay wasn't the best, but there were elements of the stay which I enjoyed. The location of the hotel is great, everything we wanted to do and the tube were in walkable distances, the area was nice and quiet which was also nice. The service however wasn't the best, from check-in onwards, I was questioning how this hotel is a 5-star. When we checked in we were told we were staying in the same wing as the family who had already checked in, so I walked over to that elevator, it turns out we were in the other wing, when I asked how I get to my room, I made to feel like I was the idiot for not figuring it out on my own, if you had signs, I would have. I asked if breakfast was included, but I was ignored. When trying to have a drink in the duke's bar which is meant to be famous, we were turned away because I didn't have a shirt. We're in 2024, how is this still a thing? Surely I can have a drink in the bar if I'm good enough to stay in your hotel and pay the room rate? You had no customers....who was my t-shirt going to offend? The staff? I was told I could drink in the restaurant, but at this point, I just refused to spend any more money in this hotel, I hate places which make you feel like you don't 'belong' because of a dress code. Do I understand it to an extent if you aren't staying in the hotel? Yes, but if you're allowed to stay in the hotel you should be allowed to use every area of the hotel. There is also a service charge for the room? I wasn't a fan.

This was our first stop on our honeymoon and it was amazing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Very easy to walk to buckingham palace and a tube station near by. I would 100% recommend this hotel to all visitors of London.

Nice location. Super close to the tube and centrally located, but isolated enough to give you a good night sleep. Nice staff. Small and outdated rooms, but clean. We heard a renovation is in the horizon
