I found the staff, room and breakfast very good. I was a little disappointed, that they didn't make sure teacher or care giver was keeping the young boys staying at the same time as me. Under control as night time they were racing up and down the stairs banging doors and shouting for the 4 nights I was there. This may have been a one off. But overall I would recommend them.

Good location. Easy walk fro tube station. Comfortable beds. Shower was great only thing missing was shampoo and conditioner. Staff efficient and congenial. Breakfast was lovely. A treat with rack of toast, a nice English touch.

Quiet well run Hotel.
Lovely stay at the Orchard Hotel, staff were amazingly friendly and knew the best ways to travel to places of interest. My room was cleaned every day, fresh towels were provided regularly. The breakfast consisted of fruit juice, boiled eggs, cereal, cheese, cold meat toast & jam. It was enough for me. You can meet other travellers in the small lounge where you can have coffee& tea. Choice of restaurants within a couple of hundred metres is very good.

Very affordable and nice property, its close to Paddington station and two bus stops. Breakfast can have some more options but considering the price I paid, the breakfast was good and options were great. Check in and check out was a breeze. will definitely rebook.

The location is ideal when coming in via Paddington. The room was fine and generally looked as if the building had been upgraded. It was reasonably quiet, provided the window wasn't open - will be a problem in the summer and with a room at the front of the building. The bed was too firm for us and we prefer to have a kettle in the room, rather than have to go to the ground floor to make a cuppa. Would proabably not stay there again.

Lovely stay
So handy to Paddington Station - makes hotel very central for commuting to anywhere in London. Our room was on first floor. It was clean, quiet and easily accessible. Complementary breakfast was enough to start your day and was served quickly in a clean dining room. Had a good 3 night stay - would return for sure.

Stayed here for 3 nights in early January. The room was fairly small with 3 single beds, which was perfect as we’d booked a triple room. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was one of the comfiest that I’ve slept in. The bathroom was clean too with hand soap provided. We were on the top floor (3rd) and the wifi worked perfectly fine for everyone in the group. It’s worth noting that there isn’t a kettle provided in the room but downstairs in the communal lounge there is a kettle with tea, coffee and sugar that’s free and available for guests to use. This has to be drunk in the lounge, you can’t take any cups up to your room. The staff were very friendly, especially those working the breakfast shift who always greeted us warmly every morning. Breakfast is a simple affair of toast, jam, butter, ham, cheese, boiled eggs and cereal. Ample hot coffee and orange squash available too. Overall, I would happily stay at the Orchard Hotel again as it’s clean, safe, welcoming and a great price for the area.

I had a basement room with a single window overlooking a light well. The main problem with this room was noise from nearby unerground line(s), several of which in this part of London are shallow, not deep, lines.There was a rumble from these lines every couple of minutes until late into the night and recommencing early morning, making sleep virtually impossible. This might not have been such a problem in a non-basement room. TV was faulty - reported to reception. Wallpaper was beginning to peel in places, not seriously but not great. No shower gel/shampoo in the shower, only handwash. Even in budget (but by no means the bottom end of the budget range) hotels I would expect shower gel/shampoo. After a full day travelling this lack was unwelcome. The breakfast was very limited, even by budget hotel standards, and the room too small, having to queue for a while to be seated. The breakfast staff were busy and cheerful, though which helped the atmosphere.

The room was ok - beds quite hard - they were only able to provide one extra pillow. Radiator leaking with towel wrapped round and carpet stained as a result. Didn’t realise there was no kettle or tea and coffee making facilities until we arrived. No adjustable heating and room was initially quite cold. It was ok for an overnight stay but be aware breakfast only served for a short window of time - it’s very basic although the coffee was good there was no tea - only hot milk in a teapot! Not enough tables for all the rooms so some people who arrived later were turned away until a table came free (nowhere for them to wait either). Wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than one night and was disappointed with the room tbh.
