In an overall sense the hotel is well presented, but there’s no value in that when you can’t sleep. Kept awake ALL night by airconditioning units directly adjacent to the window in my room. In desperation called down to dry on desk at 4am. Not solution offered. Then inexplicably ar 7:30am the day but shut off or went quiet. It is a shame but I cannot in all good conscience not warn others about this situation.

Drain flies in the room
There were drain flies in the room and despite reporting it on numerous occasions during our stay I am still waiting for the manager to call me back. The staff were polite and friendly but were unable to move us. It overshadowed our anniversary stay at the hotel, which was a shame because the location was excellent.

Very conveniently located within walking distance from the Heathrow Express train (Paddington station). I was given a tin in the property opposite the main hotel. The lift does not serve every floor, so you may need to carry your luggage down a few steps. The room had all the essential items on good working conditions. However the room was miniscule and would have been unsuitable for a couple, despite having a double bed. Unless you have an IQ of 500 you won't be able to figure out how to switch the lights on as off. Some of the lights had a mind of their own, and why on and off by themselves regardless of what I did you the switches. Something much simpler and more intuitive would have been greatly appreciated. Overall it was a comfortable stay in a convenient location.

This property is within 10 minutes walking from Paddington and 10 minutes from Hyde Park. There are lots of restaurants nearby! The staff was welcoming and accommodating and the small bar area had wifi and televised sports! I had a quiet, clean room!

The room was tiny, but that's what I asked and paid for. I arrived early, and they were able to check me in fairly quickly.The breakfast was good, and the staff members were exceptional! My room required no stairs (unasked for but welcome) and was close to the elevator for breakfast. The only improvement I'd suggest is having grab bars in the shower.

I had previously stayed at the hotel for 1 night in July, and really liked the location and the room in the main hotel building I stayed in, so I booked it again for a weekend trip away for my partners birthday. Although on this occasion I was given room 556, the smallest room, in the basement in the devonshire house aspect of the hotel across the road from the main hotel. The room was barely big enough for 1 person, never mind 2. there was a window over looking a small square of outside space between the other sides of rooms/the building. Which had a security/sensor light on that seems to light up everytime you roll over in bed. The bed its self was so uncomfortable, the mattress and pillows where so hard it felt like we had lay on a pile of bricks all night. I wouldnt say sleep as we barely got any. The hotel itsself if clean & tidy and the location was ideal fpr us, a little out of the main hussle and bustle and close to the events we had booked. But unfortunately this trip has put me off staying there again.
