This hotel served our needs of having a place to sleep while we explored during the day, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again. It’s a bit inconveniently located, small, and very out of date for the price we paid. Staff were friendly and no other issues during our stay.

Everything at this hotel was great. Located next to everything, the only downside was not having a/c unit in the room. It would be hot during the day with only a fan going. Thankfully the weather was not too terribly hot so we managed but I cant imagine that in the summer months

Overall was very good for the price but very noisy and had to wait a long time for lifts. Shower was great, very clean and bed was comfortable although the pillows were hard

Nice room for two. At the beginning our room wasn’t ready, it took like 30 minutes to get our room. The room smell weird when we arrived but we opened the balcony door and the small disappeared. Staff was nice and Polite. We had a good time.

AVOID. Too many guests since refurbishment and not enough operational lifts. People dragging luggage down tiny narrow stairways from up to 11 floors up with bits of cases snapping off and lying in the stairwell where they were too exhausted to carry their cases any further. Lifts regularly overloaded with people and cases leading to unreliability. Hotel NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. APPEARS CHEAP BUT OVERLOADED AND WILL SHORTLY BE WRITING TO LONDON FIRE SERVICE ABOUT.OUR CONCERNS.

A lovely welcome from the lady who checked us in. Hotel room clean and comfortable with good facilities. A great breakfast is available, £15 for full buffet. Perfect location, lots going on in the immediate area and a few minutes (flat) walk to some of the major sights etc.

So-so stay
The location of the hotel was very good. Luggage had to be carried up several stairs to reach lobby and elevators, so very difficult without help. Elevators were extremely slow at times, sometimes waiting up to 20 minutes to get up or down to the lobby. Air conditioning old and made shrieking noises continuously while operating, waking us up frequently at night. Matress had large dips with metal points down at the centre of the dip, so had to sleep between the dips in order to not get sore hip from pressing into the metal points while sleeping.

I found as under refurbishment, noise, dust, carpets warn and need work... rooms very small, they could be easily designed better. No as the photos when booking. The breakfast area, its the double dipping for me, I am allergic to tomatoes, the utensils for serving seamed to be used for anything, which is a safety issue, no plates was every morning, resulting in toast in your hand or napkin...I would stay here again, but maybe when complete

So keeping things limited, the place wasn't bad but wasn't great either. They were working on remodeling during the day. I could hear them pretty clearly and it was pretty disruptive. This normally wouldn't be a problem since I would be out and about exploring the city, but it was really annoying when trying to get rest in the mornings after a long night out. The staff were ok, I wouldn't say they went above and beyond. They never smiled, or greeted me, they just did their jobs. I didn't really feel welcome, I just felt like another person staying at the hotel. The room itself was small, pretty outdated, but it was clean and provided what I needed. I would say the thing that stuck out to me the most was the lack of outlets around the room. Nothing by the bed to charge your phone, everything was more on the small desk with the mirror. The light switches were on the outside of the bathroom which was weird. There was no fan in the bathroom either, and they provided an all-in-one for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash which was a big red flag for me. There was no Air Conditioning either, so you would need to crack the window to cool the room down which was kinda rough at times. All-in-all it was alright. It provided the absolute minimum of a bed, bathroom, internet, and cupboard. The only reason I would consider this again is for the area it's in: SOHO. Wonderful location and spot next to the train. Would I consider this again? No.
