Overall, the room and the grounds were nice. There was no microwave in room, which was disappointing and frustrating since we needed to eat breakfast before the restaurant opened at 6am; we had to be to airport early.

No real breakfast available. Only Starbucks counter with limited food service. No good. Also shuttle stopped running by 9 pm and had to take a taxi for $45 to hotel. Very poor service availability for travelers. I will not use this hotel chain in the future.

Property is old and not clean. I had to go get my own cleaning products to clean and sanitize. Front desk was very nice … housekeeping never available… surrounding area are convenient and nice … i wouldn’t stay here again.

A fee for this, a fee for that. They charged a fee for parking even though they had plenty of parking. They charged a fee for pets which I understand but don’t understand why they can’t charge it up front. All these additional fees left a bad taste. They should add these as add ons instead of having to wait to arrive at the hotel and be hit with these extra fees. I want the only one who was caught off guard. Others who were checking in were also surprised to hear about a parking fee. Until hotels figure this out, we should all rate hotels with a one star when they hit us with additional fees. Yes they add it to the details but you shouldn’t have to do additional digging to know what you are getting.

I stayed at Sonesta Miami, it was amazing, free late check out, food was delicious, staff was amazing. Sonesta Select in El Segundo on the other hand looked like a different branch. I paid for breakfast on my reservation, breakfast was a bagel, juice and cereal, for 23 dollars, late check out was an extra 30 and a parking fee of 30 dollars. Not a great experience, not staying there again
