Welcome to Malibu 5 Unit IV. This masterfully curated complex, aptly named The Malibu 5, is home to a collection of rare and private beachfront units. Re-launched in April 2023 as a joint venture with Fieldtrip Hospitality, you'll find yourself consumed in style, views and unmatched hospitality.

Happiness comes in waves in Malibu. Take in the ultimate experience with breathtaking views, elevated accommodations, and a central location in this private beachfront studio. Located on the upper level of the complex, this unit showcases unparalleled views of the ocean and unique touches throughout.

Featuring high speed internet and a SmartTV, you can stream your favorite shows and movies from the comfort of your plush sofa. Adjacent to the living area is the dining table for 4 with ocean views. Within your modest (yet adequately appointed) kitchen, you will find upgraded appliances and elegant finishes. Off the kitchen, you have a custom tile bathroom with walk-in rainfall shower, complete with spa quality towels. Enjoy our offering of toiletries or bring along your favorites. Fall into your plush sheets draped on your king bed, while drifting to sleep along with the waves.

No Hot Water, Black Mold...Horrible!
The unit has the location and view, that is all accurate from the photos. The decorations in the photos are also accurate. The bed was comfy and the TV and WiFi were very good. But when you are renting a lodging you need two basic things: a place to sleep and a place to bathe/wash dishes (this was a unit with a full kitchen). During my stay, I had only the place to sleep. This was because there was NO HOT WATER for the entire unit for 2/3 of my stay. Not just one sink, not just the shower...no hot water for anything at all. To make it worse, the housekeeping was disgusting. BLACK MOLD covered the whole bottom of the shower, the seat and a good amount of the sides. The floor of the unit had STICKY STAINS that my socks stuck to that were so bad I went to the store and got wet-wipes to clean up. StayField/Unit Owner received a premium rate. The refund was cash and StayField credit. This assumes I rent from them again and want to take the time to contact them to get a 'coupon' activated when I want to use it...good luck with that. The refund doesn't even cover one full night's charges. For no hot water, a shower you have to wear flip flops in and cleaning you have to do yourself, it's insulting. Two nights back plus the cleaning fee should have been the minimum refund. I don't have enough room to get started on how bad the communication from StayField/FieldTrip was. STAY AWAY!!!
