i had a great time on the property with my partner. weather was great, food was good and shows were fun. service and employees were great. wifi was patchy as other reviews mention but after all you are there to enjoy yourself, not the wifi so much :) in a safe and convenient location, overall i would stay at this property again!

I had such a terrible experience from start to end and will not be going back or recommending this place! There was no wifi. I was told that it had been down for 2 weeks. When I asked how they are operating without Internet, I wasn’t given any explanation. This was a big inconvenience for me because I was working remotely and needed wifi to connect to the internet. I didn’t get anything for the inconvenience. The people at the front desk were all rude and were all giving me wrong and different information. For example, when I asked about the new year’s fireworks, I was told they were doing it at midnight in front of the beach. Then someone else the next day told me that they weren’t doing fireworks because it was illegal in San Lucas which is not true. After being told 4 different things, I asked the bell man on my way out and he told me that the hotel is cheap and didn’t want to pay for the permit to do the fireworks although they are listed as one of the beachfront hotels who do them every year and they promoted it too. I was in a room in the main building which is where the lobby/reception area is and everything echos because it’s enclosed. I asked if they can move me to a different room in one of the other 2 buildings because I didn’t sleep well with all the noise but they told me they didn’t have any rooms available which is not true because I checked online and the hotel was not sold out. I got VIP package and was treated very poorly and they were very unprofessional.

My real only 2 complanits about my stay here are, 1 being constantly like followed and harrased by our service concierge angelica who kept asking me on multiple occasions to go to a "breakfast meeting and tour of the resort" when really what it is, is similar idea to a time share program and in exchange you get a discount on off resourt excursions with a tour operator. I have no problem with resorts offering this but to not be upfront about it right off the start and the like 3 previous occasions of me.saying i wasn't intrested thats what bugged me the most. And after staying at the villa location in cancun and getting a spare kot brought in no charge at thay resort amd then being charged $150usd i found to be something that should be included as it was at the other location. Otherwise food was good at all the restaurants, drinks excellent as well and all the resort staff where friendly,helpful and always took whatever extra steps to make your stay enjoyable.

We have stayed at many resorts in Cabo, but Villa del Palmar is our favorite. Every time we try new place we are always disappointed and go back to Villa del Palmar for our next vacation. We are finished trying to shop around. Villa del Palmar is the best and our go to every time.

Nice resort for the price. They have lots of options for things to do that you can buy right from the resort. Signing a piece of paper after every meal/drink is quite annoying. The wifi was also down my entire trip due to reasons they wouldnt say. But the location is great, the resort is nice and very close to downtown cabo.
