Property is kept up and in great condition. Rooms looked almost new. Steak house was excellent, Italian was mediocre, Japanese place was good and the buffet for it being a buffet was surprisingly tasty and fresh. Bar pools were small but there is 2 and they’re heated. Tend to get dirty quickly due to their size. Larger pools are not heated and clean. Beach is nice but be ready to be attacked by people selling stuff. They also harass you at the swim up bar with the view of the ocean. I think there needs to be security to push those vendors away to let you breathe better. I’ve been to Cancun 4 times and Cabo is significantly worse when it comes to the beach vendors. They literally wait for you at the stairs when going to the beach and yell/whistle at you when you’re in the pool.

This resort was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate my husband’s birthday. There was always something going on and we enjoyed every little bit of it. From the entertainment, to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and the food was even good. Did I mention that the service was top notch? Mexico will always be our favorite destination and this is our second time in Cabo, I will definitely choose this resort every time.

The property was lovely. Right on the beach. Food was good. Very clean. But it’s between Cabo and San Jose so no way to leave the property on foot to shop in town. Staff was incredibly polite.

This was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The workers were so friendly and were always cleaning and improving their areas. They were happy and always smiling. We loved the pools, the dining choices and even the buffet was great. So many food choices. Super close to the beach. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We loved it and will definitely go back!

We like AI’s. We’ve been to a few, this was our first trip to Cabo, and first time staying at a Riu. We liked the resort and would choose a Riu again. Facilities are fine- somewhat utilitarian looking, but very functional and absolutely stunningly clean. Maintenance, Landscaping and Housekeeping departments should all be complimented. I’d upgrade the sheets and provide robes if I was in charge, but what was there was fine. Staff were pleasant and seemed happy to serve, and be helpful. In particular, the AM buffet staff, Israel at the Mexican restaurant, and Adrian on the beach were very kind and attentive. Food- such a controversial topic at an AI. This one was better than some of the more expensive ones we’ve stayed at. The buffet is a marvel- food is seasoned well and gorgeously presented. I worked in catering for several years and understand the skill and effort it takes to make a buffet look that good. Well done. The Mexican was our favorite restaurant. The Italian could use some work. One odd thing- the buffet had a lot of yummy desserts, but none of the restaurants had very good desserts. I.E- the buffets cheesecake was very good and the steakhouse’s nearly inedible. That seems like an area to improve. Loved the poolside tacos, chips and quac. Pool game is at play here. But we still always found chairs. Beach is down a hill and can’t be heard from the lounge chairs. Shows were fun, but it was chilly so we didn’t always stay out. Wished for an indoor bar to hang out
