Hotel was ok - positives - very quiet and peaceful. Downfalls - room was adjoined to another not comfortable for a lone female traveller, room smelt musty, cracks in mirrors and bathroom fixtures, very small TV’s, cleanliness of carpet, walls and doors not to standard. Wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

Everything Great But The Mattress.
The staff were lovely, the room shower everything was lovely and clean. Unfortunately for me the mattress was a little bit thin, and that wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep. Everything else I didn't have a problem with.

The location was ideal for our purpose of stay. Staff very welcoming. Good facilities but a bit tired looking in decor. Room was spacious & very comfortable bed. Bathroom & room very clean, again a little run down. We couldn’t work the bedside lights & forgot to mention this on departure

Had stayed at this hotel about 6 years ago, but found it has become very tired since. The bedding and towels were of a nice quality but the bedroom furniture and bathroom could do with some attention. (Crack in sink, broken toilet roll holder and dodgy toilet flush) TV did not work, and despite raising with reception was not rectified. Breakfast buffet poor and cooked breakfast limited. We ate in the restaurant on our first night, and despite being the only diners, waited 10 mins for the waiter to produce a menu, which was the only one and needed to be shared between our party of 4. Once the food arrived, it was well cooked. We stayed for 2 nights and requested that the room be serviced on day 2, this didn’t happen. Very disappointed in our ‘executive’ room and unfortunately won’t be returning.

Great Country Hotel, room in fair condition but windows not cleaned this millennium :-) WiFi very poor in room 212. But otherwise a very pleasant stay, particularly liked the fast check-in and pleasant welcome.

Good overall.
Very friendly staff and a lovely location. A large, comfortable room with one or two maintenance issues that needed sorting but when reported were responded to in a positive way. The fire doors in the corridors close noisily and for some this could be a real disturbance.

In general staff treated arriving guests as an interruption to their conversations. Room with many faults - some lights no functioning, shower fittings broken, sink plug not functioning, toilet seat broken, mould in bath/ shower area, no effective a/c and windows unable to be opened for ventilation. This facility is obviously well past its prime and clearly poorly managed by staff who really don’t care.
