Relax and enjoy the quiet comfort of Seascape Cottage after taking in all that Lubec has to offer. Seascape is a 5 minute drive from the heart of a small fishing village where quaint shops and pubs offers the local catch of the day. The cottage sets on the very edge the South Lubec Sand Bar, which extends into the water fowl maze. Seascape is all about high quality and comfort for a relaxing vacation. The space
Seascape Cottage is all about casual comfort and relaxation. The rooms are clean, simple and practical. The bedding is very comfortable and added pillow choices are available from regular fill to premium down pillows. There is a smart TV plus cable choices, in case you get stuck in for the day due to incumbent weather. The focal point is the front deck which has low LED lighting, that will allow you to have that perfect lobster dinner while enjoying the spectacular views of Lubec, The Bay of Fundy and West Quoddy Head Point. Please note that Seascape is a non-smoking cottage and does not allow pets. Thank you.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the whole cottage, back and front yard for game playing, field access to the saltwater stream that rolls in and out with the tides. Seascape has a private right of way path down to the sand pebble beach where migratory birds lay. Please be respectful to the waterfowl environment and be watchful for nesting birds.

Coffee makers: Percolator, 12c drip brew and French press. Herbal teas and coffee provided.

Neighborhood:
Seascape Cottage is apx. .1 mile down, right hand side on Bar Rd, the closest home to the water. The cottage is a very relaxing spot with no homes in front or direct side view. There is a salt water inlet right by the home, which leads to the South Lubec Sand flats bird marsh, one of the most pristine waterfowl environments anywhere. Bird watchers frequent this area. With a little patience, you may even see a Bald Eagle flying overhead, or perched on a dead tree limb right out side your cottage. There is a private meadow path to access the sand and pebble beach, only steps away from your vacation home!

Getting around:
Once you get to the property, you can feel free to park your vehicle in the driveway. There is ample outdoor parking. Take a drive to Quoddy Head State Park, the easternmost point in the USA, and home to the famous candy striped lighthouse. Yes, the one you have seen in every quintessential magazine or story about Maine. The lighthouse's candy striped tower is unique.

The village of Lubec itself is a short, but lovely 3 mile drive. Once in town you will be in walking distance to quaint shops and eating establishments and a hardware store. Make sure you stop to see the Fishermen's Memorial and Pier, where you will see the seals bob up and down and fishing boats that dot the landscape.

If you walk or drive over the bridge to Campobello Island, the Roosevelt Campobello International Park can be visited at your leisure. Hike the many beautiful trails or take the highly recommended "Tea with Eleanor" event. You can easily spend an enjoyable day at this historical park, you won't be disappointed. When you are ready to retire the day, Seascape Cottage is just a hop right back over the bridge.

Other explore outlaying areas-Grand Manan Island is accessed by ferry from Blacks Harbor-Canada, Deer Island accessed by ferry from Campobello Island-Canada. While crossing over to Deer Island be on the lookout for the Old Sow whirlpool, which is located between Deer Island NB Canada and Moose Island, Eastport, Maine USA. The Old Sow is the largest whirlpool in the western hemisphere!

Head up route 1 North to Calais, Maine for a day of shopping, or cross the border into St. Stephen, Canada for more shopping choices and visit the famous Ganong Chocolate Museum.

There are plenty of sandy beaches one minute away from the cottage, and access to the beach with a private right of way path. If you catch the tide at the right time, you will see the amazing elevation of the highest tides in the world here in the Bay of Fundy. The Rugged coastline of Maine are the mighty Atlantic in all her splendor. The hidden gems around the area are remarkable, and it's impossible to list all of them!

To Access the FDR Memorial Bridge from downtown Lubec, make sure you bring your passports or Pass ID cards, vaccine cards if you plan to travel to Canada. Children under the age of 16 will need their birth certificate while traveling with their parents or a birth certificate and signed letter from the child's parent if traveling to Canada without a parent. You can contact officers at the Lubec U.S. Customs Office for direction, but better yet the Canadian Border Service for the updated requirements . Please note, that it does NOT cost money to cross the border and avoid websites who charge a fee.
