Welcome to B & A Lake Cottage. Nestled on the east side of the valley, next to Lake Arrowhead, our cottage has been a member of our family for many years. We are now opening it up for others to enjoy. Our land joins the property of Lake Arrowhead with a path through the back of the property to lead you directly to the lake. Enjoy hiking, fishing, mountain biking, canoeing or swimming just minutes from the cottage. Luray Caverns is only about 5 miles away and the Entrance to the Shenandoah National Park is just as close. Sit back on the front porch and enjoy the view of the Skyline Drive directly in front of you. Relax, unwind and enjoy your stay.

Luray race weekend
Friends and I stayed in September 2024 for a half marathon that started at Lake arrowhead. We were able to walk there from the house. The house was perfect. Plenty of space and well equipped.

Fantastic Shenandoah vacation home
Our family had a wonderful time at this vacation rental. It is in close proximity to Shenandoah Nation Park and the city of Luray. It is also next to Lake Arrowhead, and we enjoyed our daily walks around the lake. We have stayed at many vacation rentals, and this was one of the best stocked with a great kitchen, spices, laundry detergent, soap, toothbrushes, etc. The home is more spacious than is shown in the pictures. The owner is very kind and greeted us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. The kids loved it, and we would happily stay here again.

Charming Farmhouse
We absolutely loved this super clean farmhouse on the outskirts of Luray. Quaint country feel with surrounding meadows, cattle and mountains. Take a quick walk thru the back of the property and you’ll find yourself on Lake Arrowhead. Must see sunsets on the lake. Owner lives next door and is very friendly. We had 2 wasps starting nests on the front porch, told Dave and when we got back from SNP, they were gone. The rockers/swing on the front porch were fantastic. Close to Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing this amazing property with us!

We were able to schedule a last minute trip after having our Christmas fight to Utah cancelled. It was a needed break away and served as a good base for hiking to Mary's Rock and winter adventures at Massanutten. Thanks Dave!

We absolutely loved the location, it was close to town as well as Shenandoah for hiking and there was a beautiful lake with trails within walking distance of the house. The house itself was well kept and had everything we needed.

We stay here each year and love it! The house is clean; soft and super clean linens; great appliances; clean and up to date furniture; comfortable beds; thoughtful snacks and supplies. Plus Dave (the owner) and All Star are both super responsive. We spend HOURS rocking on the front porch gazing at the mountain, even during the rain.

quiet, peaceful, clean stay 10 mins from Shenandoah National Park
The house and land were very tranquil. We were 10 mins from the Thornton Gap entrance to Skyline Ridge. The views were of mountains, pastures - very peaceful. My pet really enjoyed the porch and land. I liked sitting on the rocking chairs/swings in the morning, watching my pet walk and listening to the birds. Really nice! The living room has a gas burning fire place which was very warm and soothing. We hiked up Stony Man, Hawksbill, Mary's Rock, and Black Rock. Shenandoah Park in December this year was perfect for hiking - 50s farenheit, sunny, no crowds at all. We were alone on most of the summits. The kitchen had everything we needed. One of the bedrooms has flannel sheets and that was too warm for us, so we moved to the other bed that had cotton sheets. We were able to set the thermostat lower in the night and day to 64, 68 farenheit. But if you wanted to, you could make it warmer. We found with the gas fireplace, the whole house was warm for us with the thermostat at 67. There's a nice short walk around the lake through the property in the back. Nice views from that walk. There's a lot of cute, neat children toys throughout the house. Wifi was excellent. Thanks Zane for everything.

Out excelent mini get away!
Our stay was simply perfect, the property was very clean and very comfortable, more than we thought we would have. From the fire pit to the outside views that we enjoyed from the swing in front of the house to the short walk to a lake. The neighbor was very friendly and helpful with everything and we loved his well behaved dog Parker, we definitely will love to come back next time as our mini vacation was perfect in every way. Very pleasant experience from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Thank you and we will see you soon. Definitely we recommend this housbe to everyone.
