Perfect retreat
We would not hesitate to recommend this rental. Martineā€™s communications were always prompt and thorough. We particularly appreciated that she left us breakfast for our first morning having arrived in the early hours. Home made plum jam was such a treat. We were blessed with wonderful weather so made full use of the fabulous pool which Martine cared for, discreetly, every morning. It was nice to have a variety of sitting out areas. The village offers a bakery and wine but for anything more it is a short drive to the supermarket. There are many places to visit but if the weather is good you may find yourself not wanting to leave such an idyllic spot. My husband would have appreciated WiFi but the lack could be seen as a positive!

An Enjoyable Stay
The gite was ideal for one couple (though the single shower, accessed via one of the two bedrooms, could have been inconvenient for two couples). The only downside was the lack of WiFi. The setting was ideally quiet and peaceful, and M. & Mme Bailleul (the owners) could not have been more helpful and generous. They provided excellent information beforehand, and were extremely responsive during our stay. They provided us with tomatoes etc. from their own garden, and when I asked M. Bailluel for directions to the nearest station de gonflage he insisted on pumping up my tyres himself. Madiran itself has a boulangerie and one outstanding restaurant. An altogether excellent holiday.

Un petit coin de paradis
Nous avons passƩ une semaine formidable en famille . Martine est une hƓtesse au top : un accueil chaleureux, de bon conseils, elle est prƩsente si besoin. Elle est venue chaque jour pour l'entretien de la piscine. Ce gite est un petit bijou, propre, bien ƩquipƩ, nous avons fait de nombreux barbecues. Il est au calme et bien situƩ.

Location situĆ©e en pleine campagne, en aoĆ»t les commerƧants ouverts Ć©taient plutĆ“t Ć  une distance de 10 kms environ (Maubourguet, Marsiac..). Maison entourĆ©e de champs et de bois donc trĆØs calme. Accueil exceptionnel de la propriĆ©taire, trĆØs sympathique. Piscine entretenue chaque jour (propre et qui a du cachet) Ć©quipĆ©e d'une douche extĆ©rieure trĆØs pratique. Donc le tout Ć©tait trĆØs apprĆ©ciable !! Nous avons Ć©tĆ© superbement accueilli par Martine dans ce gĆ®te qui est trĆØs bien situĆ© au fond d'une impasse donnant sur la forĆŖt. La rĆ©gion permet de chouettes balades le long de l'Adour et de faire une excursion vers les PyrĆ©nĆ©es... Pour les fortes chaleurs, la piscine est vraiment top! Aussi, il y a une chouette oenothĆØque disponible dans le village de Madiran pour dĆ©couvrir les vignerons du coin... La maison est juste parfaite que ce soit la propretĆ© du logement ou les amĆ©nagements extĆ©rieurs (Coin barbecue, salon au bord de la piscine) piscine entretenue tous les jours par les propriĆ©taires. Top avec des enfants ! Les propriĆ©taires sont trĆØs accueillants et trĆØs gentils. Un peu loin des intĆ©rĆŖts touristiques de la rĆ©gion Haute PyrĆ©nĆ©es(Lourdes, pic du midi...) mais au moins on est au calme
