We checked in and the grounds were kind of dirty, but that didn't affect the interior. Brought our bags and stuff to the room and left to bring dinner back. Found that our room key didn't work anymore. Walked to front desk. Young girl running front desk was pleasant, but stressed and didn't speak much English. Another customer was having the same issue and appeared very familiar with the hotel staff and said the girl is underaged (16) and working alone. He asked specifically if a manager named Richard was available to help. He was not reachableble apparently. I kept asking of she could get me a new key and she did not know how. I finally asked her to follow me to my room to let her in with my room. She did and then we had to ask the older man that was now working the front desk to let us into the pool area. The hot tub was kind of dirty and the bottom of it felt gritty like sand. The button to turn on the jets did not work. We got out and once again had to walk to the front desk to ask another young man working there to follow us to our room to let us in. The fridge barely cooled and the knob to adjust the temperature did not work. The air conditioner made a screeching noise all night that we drowned out by leaving the tv on all night. Will not be staying there again even though we have multiple times in the past.
