Good but not great
First of all the location of this hotel on Gran Via is excellent and close to everything including the Gran Via Metro stop. Check in was good but no upgrade was offered and no welcome gift. My room was quite spacious and clean but the space between the end of the huge bed and the wall was very tight to say the least. Room was clean but two bedside lights did not work. I reported this and one was fixed immediately but they didn’t check the other light. I was very surprised that the hotel did not take a credit card at check in as this is the first hotel in many I have to have stayed that has not done this. As I found out later, because they had not done this, I had to pay for everything I purchased within the hotel by card which was annoying. Not sure why they did it this way but I wish they hadn’t. Would I stay here again… possibly.

Wonderful staff and service. Very accommodating. Have champagne every day at reception or breakfast. Delightful. Would be nice if they had a bellman to help with bags on the entry stairs but otherwise, completely satisfied. Very comfortable beds!

Very friendly front desk staff. We arrived from California in the early morning and the staff was able to get us into our room well before the listed check in time. Madrid was very hot but we were able to navigate the subway and bus system pretty easily (stop right in front of the hotel) to get out of the heat. Lots of teenager friendly food near the hotel: Oink, Udon, and TKT tacos. We also had Korean BBQ one street behind the hotel.

We arrived at the property early. The entire staff greeted us like royalty. They were super friendly and quick to check us into our room. I must say my favorite of the staff were Mara and Francisco who were both extremely nice and helpful.
