Nice hotel. Near all interesting places, restaurants, shopping. It has a very well maintained and preserved Victorian decoration. It offers toiletries, which is unusual in many hotels.

Great location. Unfortunately there are so many asylum seekers in Madrid who will ask for money and it just feels unsafe. The hotel and staff are excellent. It’s just a shame that Madrid has gone down hill and has become extremely unsafe.

The hotel itself was clean and updated. However, when we arrived, the staff members at the front desk were very unfriendly, non-welcoming, and did not even offer to assist us with our luggage. Then, to make things worse, we were not able to place a wake-up call on our phone, so we placed the wake-up call request IN PERSON at the front desk and, the next morning we did not receive a call until 15 minutes later. When we mentioned it at the front desk as we were leaving, all we got was a “Sorry”. Anxiety producing and unforgivable.
