Luxury Apartment in the Puerta del Sol and next to the Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace and the best museums, theaters and shops of the city, Restaurants, Tapas. Logically well connected and close walking distance to all the sights of Madrid. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, large living room, kitchen, 3 balconies. Located on the second floor is very bright. The building has two elevators. Fully equipped for your comfort: Air Conditioning and Heating, Movistar TV Smart TV, Football, Formula 1, MotoGP, etc, ADSL Fibre Optic. The apartment has everything needed to accommodate up to 6 guests, bedding, toalllas, dishes, dishwasher, microwave, hair dryers, etc., to make you feel as comfortable as at home. We rented this great apartment of 120 m2 newly refurbished (July 2014), 4m high ceilings, sunny, central and charming and luxury. It's in the street Marques Widower of Pontejos in Puerta del Sol, downtown, within walking distance of the most interesting places in Madrid. It is the perfect place if you are looking for quality accommodation, economical and quiet in the city center, to feel at home. You can walk to most sights of Madrid.

The APARTMENT - EQUIPMENT

The apartment is on the second floor of an elegant building with elevator. The furniture and all the equipment is new, quality and design. It is therefore an apartment with all amenities and is perfect for relaxing in the evening after a long day of sightseeing.

Very Nice apartment in an excellent location
We only stayed for a 3 days but it was enough to enjoy this very nice and comfortable apartment in the heart of Madrid. Angel, the host was very attentive to our needs and requests and available when needed. The apartment is within walking distance of many of the favority places to visit in this beautiful city. Location, comfort, cleaninless and value were part of this rental for us. We'll ceirtainly be back!

Fantastic location and great host
The arrival started a bit rocky as our taxi driver (who used a phone as a translator) from the airport told us she couldn’t take us directly to the house as it was on a pedestrian street. Fortunately with the use of What’s App we were in touch with Angel and when the driver dropped us at the curb Angel was there to escort us down the pedestrian street to the apartment. After that everything was easy. Angel is a great host and full of recommendations and seemed always available. As mentioned by others rhe location can’t be beat as we walked every where. Also close to a Cercanias rail stop so we could easily get to Segovia with a high speed train from Chamartin train station. Enjoyed the complimentary wine with olives and jamon from a nearby food court. We would absolutely stay here again.

Fantastic apartment and location
This was a lovely apartment, exactly as described. I have not dealt with a host as great as Angel. He greeted us at arrival, showed us all the good sites and restaurants to visit. The area is fantastic! Step out the front door and you are in the thick of Madrid. There is some noise at night from the street, but that is to be expected staying in the center of a major city. Would most definitely stay again in the future.

It was a great location, you cqn hear a bit of the night commotion but, great if you want to be in yhe middle of best Madrid has to offer. Angel was great and provided a lot of neighborhood hot spots.

The apartment was lovely with all of the conveniences of home. Angel was so kind and thoughtful. He met us at the apartment so we could drop off our luggage before check in. The apartment is situated in a great location so you can walk to lots of places. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Madrid.

A really great place to stay
Angel met us at the property after communicating with us prior to our arrival in Spain, from the US. He showed us around the apartment. Angel also marked up a map for us, indicating places we may want to visit. Everything was as described. We really enjoyed our space which had everything we needed including outlet adaptors. I do think it is only fair to mention that the neighborhood was very noisy at night mostly due to garbage collection in the middle of the night. Obviously, this is out of Angel’s control, but it did keep us from having a good night's sleep most nights.

5 perfect days in Madrid
We traveled to Madrid from Washington DC with our two children (8 & 12). Angel our host met us early at the property to greet us and was very inviting and helpful. He gave us a number of great dining recommendations and was so responsive! The apartment was very clean and well appointed with nice touches for international travelers (international charging stations for devices, fast WiFi, clean kitchen and bathrooms with all the essentials for our stay!). You really cannot beat the location. It’s so close to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, as well as the Puerta Del Sol metro subway hub. Despite the central and bustling location, the apartment is tucked up a side street offering a restful and quiet nights sleep! The building felt secure and safe, yet accessible. I’ve been to Madrid three times before this trip and enjoyed my time the most while staying at Angel’s place. Everything was just easy.

Easy to get to about everything walking distance. Secure building. Spacious. Host left wine and a snack. Thank you. Only complaint. Trash trucks came by 2-3 times in the middle of the night and were extremely loud. Other times it was also loud on the alley street which was surprising. Great apt but just wished no trucks.

Comfortable apartment in a great location in the heart of Madrid
Angel's apartment was perfect for our three-day stay in Madrid. Clean and very comfortable, the apartment has two good-sized bedrooms and is within 5 minutes walk of (almost) everything. Sol metro station is round the corner, Plaza Mayor and Mercado San Miguel 5 minutes walk. And surpisingly quiet given the central location. Angel was a great host. He communicated very well, met us as arranged for check-in and took time to give us some welcome sightseeing tips and restaurant recommendations. This apartment was great value and we would definitely stay again.

Apartment is located in a shared building with a hotel very close to Puerta de Sol. The location was very convenient/walking distance to major attractions and to metro. Communication with Angel/host was excellent as well and he had very good recommendations. The apartment is part of an old building and comes with old building charm/issues. Nice to have a/c and many adapters provided.

My Second Wonderful Stay
I recently returned from a three night stay at Angel's wonderful apartment in central Madrid. Suffice it to say that this was the second time that I was staying with Angel. And it won't be my last. The location is amazing! You couldn't ask to be any closer to central Madrid. Both Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor are mere steps away. The Sol Metro station is a five minute walk. Catch Madrid's wonderful, clean Metro with easy connections to anywhere in the city. And you never lose internet connectivity no matter where you are in the Metro - Amazing! The apartment itself is great. Spacious, modern, well-equipped and clean with excellent air conditioning for Madrid's sizzling summers. Angel is a model host. Organized, communicative, responsive and friendly - in both Spanish and English. He goes above and beyond, including organizing taxi transportation back to the airport. Having now had two amazing stays with Angel, I'm looking forward to my third. Thanks, Angel.

Madrid Vacation
Angel was a fabulous host. He met us at the apartment upon our arrival, showed us all the amenities and how to use them. He took the time to show us on a simple map the location of the major tourist features that were nearby, not to mention local grocery stores, Bakeries, and other restaurants. And, he kept in touch every 3 or 4 days, during our visit to ensure that the apartment was functioning as it should and to ensure that we did not have any additional questions. The apartment is exactly what is described and shown in the listing and was perfect for our stay in Madrid. It is right in the middle of everything, but is a quieter location, as it is just one street back of the main area of Puerta del Sol. It has all the amenities that you would need if you decided to prepare some of your own meals during your visit. Angel's apartment is the perfect location to stay for a quick or extended stay in Madrid. Not only would I recommend this location to family and friends, I will choose to stay here for my next vacation to Madrid. Thanks again Angel for everything!

Everything was great about this stay: location, our friendly and helpful host, the convenience of coffee, tea, condiments, etc. The beds were comfortable and the living room felt spacious. My only suggestion is that the windows be replaced to block street noise. That was the only downside.

So nice we stayed twice!
We spent two consecutive weekends in this beautiful apartment in central Madrid. The location is terrific with easy access to the Metro, Plaza Mayor, and Puerta del Sol. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Angel was a wonderful host with plenty of recommendations to enhance our stay. Highly recommended!!
