2nd stay and paid extra for a ā€œdouble executive ā€œ. Word is dissppoonted , expecting a spacious room with a decent view . Instead got a dated room , view of a flat roof , 1980s style hair dryer , previous stay had a 70s stained yellow dryer ,worn brass door handles with loose fitment handles , dated curtains and mis match carpets along corridors . Breakfast is well presented and good choice . Great location to town but parking at hotel sucks when a function is on , non resistants visiting taking up all the spaces and double parking . In a nut shell , lovely looking hotel but dated interior and fittings needs upgrading .

Clean hotel, elegant entrance and stairs. Itā€™s in a beautiful building and lovely town. Gorgeous Abbey right next door. Lovely walks nearby, but only if you like hills. Beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were like bricks. No air con and the windows in the room didnā€™t open, only the ones in the bathroom. Extras were offered via email which I accepted & filled in a form but nothing was implemented.
