Trailboss Cabin near Mammoth Cave at Noble Pine Campground

Make memories at this unique farm stay. A charming, rustic get away for the end of the trail.

You'll enjoy 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, and a cozy wood stove or pellet stove for the extra cold days. Mini split a/c + heat in main area. . Friendly farm animals include goats, chickens, horses, & cats. We are happy to arrange a tour during your stay where you can feed treats and interact with the horses, goats, and maybe even chickens. Located about 800 feet from Mammoth Cave's Lincoln Trailhead, you're able to bring your own horses to keep at our barn.
Despite thorough cleanings, there is a possibility for bugs, because we currently use natural pest solutions in order for our farm to support pollinators. Also, being a farm, sightings of arachnids, insects, and pests may occur. No refunds or cancellation will be issued as such.
***This cabin shares a roof with the campground’s bathrooms. They have exterior only entrances, but there are shared walls just as you’d find at a hotel etc. Local favorites:

The obvious thing to do is visit Mammoth Cave National Park! Lots of hiking in park as close as 800 feet from the campground. Horses are welcome at our campground, we provide stalls and the MCNP trail across the road is horse friendly. There are several tours to choose from if you’re, you may want to choose a couple. We recommend getting tickets in advance as they do sell out. (Visitor center 20-25 minutes via Green River Ferry route, 40 minutes without ferry)

Trail rides are provided at Double J Stables. (5 minutes) Advance reservation recommended.

Nearby there is Hickory Cabins, it’s more fast food type, and only couple couple minutes away. Open for the season April -November, The Blue Holler Restaurant serves up German and American fare. Bee spring has KY Rock grill. Bouys at Wax Marina is a fun lake view experience

The Feedmill in Leitchfield (35 min) has good breakfast & lunch & there’s a Mexican restaurant, mi Camino Real, that’s good in that area too. There’s also a Peddler’s Mall in Leitchfield if that interests you.

In Bowling Green (50-55 min) there’s the corvette museum & lost river cave tour if you’re looking for more to do.

Cave city (across the ferry 25 min) has tourist friendly activities including various caves that have been open since the early 1900s. Kayaking tours available down Green River. There are attractions such as Dinosaur World, Kentucky Down Under, & Mammoth Cave Adventure. A favorite stop for me is Leo’s woodworking as you exit the park toward cave city.

I recently went to a cave tour in Horse Cave called hidden river cave (40 min) which was kinda neat. They have antique shops nearby in the little downtown.

10-15 minutes away is an Amish town called Cub Run. They have a couple shops, the Variety Shoppe & Detweilers, which has a small bakery and deli and everything from gardening to furniture. There is a separate hunting & fishing store.

Book here- you won’t be disappointed!
One of the best vacation stays we’ve ever had! The cabin is so clean, cute and cozy and it passed my 14 year olds “vibe” check, so that has to count for something! My son thought his bed was the most comfortable bed he’s ever slept in! Our host was so kind too! She took the time to introduce us to all of her animals and left us treats to give them each day. We would 100% stay here again!

Quick weekend trip
The property was very enjoyable and very clean. The kitchen was very well supplied. We were a bit further from Mammoth Cave but it wasn't a bother. The farm atmosphere was so enjoyable that the extra distance didn't matter. My teens and my dogs thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

OUTSTANDING host, most comfy beds ever, and amazing view
I cannot speak highly enough about the care, concern, and hospitality that Kristen provided our whole family, even prior to checking into the property. Kristen answered all of my questions ahead of time, and then when we had a last minute emergency (delaying our arrival and possibly needing us to have our kids stay at the cabin solo), she immediately asked how she could help us. The cabin itself is perfection. The beds are perhaps the most comfortable that I've slept in through a VRBO rental. There is plenty of space for the family to lounge while enjoying the scenes of the farm. My kids loved waking up and helping feed the animals (and trying to name some of them), and we were even spoiled with fresh eggs for breakfast! This is more than just a place to sleep! Also, when the ferry is open, it's only a 20 minute drive into the national park. This makes it super convenient to get to and from the park during the day. My kids have already said that they want to return to here as part of a "new tradition".

Great getaway!
We loved our time here! Such a cute, cozy, clean cabin with so many extra wonderful touches. The owners obviously care about their guests comfort and it really made us feel welcome. The kids (and adults!) loved getting to know the animals and we really felt like we got away from it all! We went to Mammoth Cave twice and would recommend that as well.

Great place
If you’re looking for something peaceful on a farm, this is it. The cabin is clean and has everything you need and comfortably sleeps six. You are immediately greeted by goats and horses, which are about 20 yards from your back door. Sunsets are beautiful. Kristen is very nice and easy to work with and I would definitely consider this place again.

Great location, if the ferry is open its a 10 minute drive to Mammoth cave. Owners were very nice and responsive. We loved the firepits and peaceful countryside. The cabin we stayed in had a great kitchen and laundry access. We will certainly come back to explore more around Mammoth cave.

Great experience
The house is everything you could want for a great peaceful getaway! It is extremely clean and comfortable, I don’t have anything but great things to say about the property and the property owner! When we got back one night the batteries had died in the lock, I sent a message through the app to the property owner and she was quick to respond, not only did she respond quickly she was there in no time to fix the issue. It was a small issue but she treated it with urgency and sympathy. She fixed the door quickly and was gone right after, customer service was great, total experience was 5 stars and will be going back!

Beautiful area
My mom, my daughter and I came down for a girls trip. The cabin was perfect for us with three bedrooms. We all enjoyed it very much. The farm is beautiful and being near the animals was fun, it’s close to the National park and convenient to hiking trails. Unfortunately we were hit with a pretty intense storm but the owners were very helpful and checked on us frequently. Hopefully we can come back for a little less exciting trip because we’d love to be able to stay here again! Highly recommend!

THE BEST!!! The house was spotless, immaculate and well stocked. The property is on a beautiful farm, and the owner was just fabulous and super accomdating. She let us help her feed her goats and horses, which was such a super fun experience for us city folks. In addition we got such a kick out her goats, they had such fun personalities. The location of the property was extremely close to the Mammoth Cave visitor center and our tour of the cave. I cant wait to come back. Thanks Kristen for an amazing experience!!
