Finca Can Galiana - Manacor

Villa Ca'n Galiana is a spectacular rural house for 10 people close to Porto Cristo. The house stands out for its spaciousness and gardens.

This fabulous Villa is located between the coastal towns of Portocolom and Porto Cristo, just 5 kilometres from the lovely beaches of Cala Mendia and Cala Anguila. There are also other attractive sandy beaches such as Cala Romantia and Cala Varques situated just 10 minutes away by car.

Porto Cristo, situated 5 kilometres from the house, is a lovely town and a great option for an evening out as it offers a choice of excellent restaurants serving typical Majorcan and international cuisine. Portocolom is 12 kilometres from the house and is an ideal place for water sports, walking or exploring the historical centre.

Villa Ca'n Galiana is a large property surrounded by vineyards. There are 5 double bedrooms and the property accommodates 10 people. It has satellite TV, central heating, air conditioning in the bedrooms and WiFi Internet connection throughout the house.

We reach the house via a pretty street, flanked by trees and Mediterranean plants, which leads to the parking area in front of the house with space for a number of vehicles. The main facade of the house is particularly attractive, with its sand-coloured walls and blue shutters, surrounded by large palm trees. Entering the house via the main entrance we arrive in a bar/reception room with a large bar stocked with glasses. Next to this is the living-dining room, a spacious area comprising a large table and with staircase to the upper floor. Next to the dining room is the fully equipped kitchen, fitted out with a sky-blue colour scheme. Crossing the living room, we come to another large lounge, with sofas, television and fireplace. To the rear of the house there is a room containing the barbecue which leads to the main terrace. Finally, in the main house we find a gym, sauna and large fully equipped bathroom. Also on the ground floor and from the bar/reception room we access a large apartment (without kitchen) annexed to the main house, direct acces to the bathroom, living room and double bedroom with terrace.
On the upper floor are the other 4 double bedrooms and a full bathroom with a large bath. The first bedroom has two single beds and an en suite bathroom with shower and a terrace. The second bedroom has two single beds and a terrace. The third has a double bed and terrace and the fourth has a double bed and en suite bathroom.
The external parts of the house are very substantial, comprising garden, stone terraces, lawns, chill-out areas, palm trees and other plants. The swimming pool measures 8m x 5m and has a shallow end. Next to the pool there are two Balinese beds, hammocks and sun shades. Beside the barbecue is a spacious terrace with a large dining table.

Goed gelegen villa, prijs kwaliteit matig
Finca San Galiana heeft een mooie tuin en zwembad met prachtig uitzicht op het landschap dat omzoomd is door bergen. De Finca is geheel vrij liggend, privacy gewaarborgd. De ligging is uitstekend, het is enkele minuten van het populaire strandje Cala Romantica. Een auto is wel noodzakelijk. Supermarkten op 10 a 15km. Wij waren er half september, het onverwarmde zwembad is dan wel wat fris. Er valt wel wat af te dingen op de prijs kwaliteitsverhouding: er is achterstallig onderhoud (luiken met verrotte delen, scheef liggende tegels, lekkage in de fitness ruimte) die je eigenlijk niet verwacht gezien de foto's van de prachtig gelegen, ruim opgezette villa, die luxe uitstralen. De gedateerde keuken kan een probleem vormen als een groot gezelschap ( wij waren inclusief babys met z' n tienen) lunch en diner zelf willen klaarmaken - er zijn bijvoorbeeld maar 3 langzame elektrische pitten (geen inductie!) in de tamelijk kleine keuken die bijvoorbeeld geen espresso apparaat of goed keukengerei had. Op de etage met slaapkamers was het warm water wat moeizaam voorhanden, ook na interventie reparateur. Stofzuiger moest vervangen worden. Een verwelkoming door het locale managements team dat meteen tekortkomingen had kunnen aanpakken hadden wij op prijs gesteld, de communicatie was vaak moeizaam via verschillende kanalen.
