What a beautiful building, well maintained and preserved. Check in/out was simple, with staff who were warm, approachable and humorous. Our gent went to great lengths to let us know that we were staying in "The best hotel in the world". The food was amongst the best I have had during my 60 years of travel and the breakfast selection was vast. My only slight grumble was that there did not appear t be a welcome book in the room, so we had to fumble our way through the coffee machine and could not find a suitable plug socket for the kettle, without getting on hands and knees under a heavy table, to use the coffee machine one. I had to specifically request a shower cap too. (This was delivered to the room shortly after though). I will definitely be staying here again.

Hotel was a little creepy but beautiful and super nice! Breakfast was great & dinner at The Refuge was delicious. James was my server/bartender throughout my stay & he was very accommodating. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel!!!

A great place to stay in Manchester.
From check in to check out we couldn’t fault the staff and my only reservation was the number of stairs that had to be climbed/descended to get to and from reception. On the positive side staff took care of heavy luggage and we really enjoyed the social free drinks every afternoon from 5pm. Breakfast was excellent and out room was very comfortable, but not sound proofed and our first night was interrupted by noises from the room next door.

Fantastic stay!
I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel! Upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a better room as a kind gesture for my birthday. The room was amazing - incredibly clean and tidy. The bed was so comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful experience.

Worth every penny
This is a beautiful building and the staff, service and food match this. We only ate breakfast here but it was fantastic quality. Delicious cooked breakfast, well cooked with quality ingredients. Our room was perfectly clean and generous in proportions and stocked with everything you could need. It also had a very comfortable bed and fluffy towels.

Hotel reception area was wonderful and check-in/check-out were very professional. Common areas were comfortable and relaxing. Drawback was a tired room with faulty air conditioning.

Friendly staff in all areas (check-in, restaurant, bar) and amazing Edwardian architecture made the Kimpton Clocktower a great place to stay for our short break in Manchester. Food was very good (dinner and breakfast) and rooms were clean and well maintained.
