Start planning early, as there are only a few hotels within a 10-kilometre radius of downtown Mangatarata.

One of only a handful of Mangatarata hotels close to the centre of Mangatarata is the Westwind Homestay B & B.

No sane person would visit Mangatarata without catching the Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World. Many visitors choose to stay near this famous attraction when they are in Mangatarata. The Royal Park Lodge and Tudor Court Motor Lodge are close by.

The North End Motel is situated 30 kilometres from the centre of Mangatarata. Alternatively, the Essex Arms can be found 35 kilometres away. Two more accommodation options worth checking out around Mangatarata are the Coastal Motor Lodge and the Avalon Motel Thames.

After seeing Mangatarata, you should leave time to soak up more of the North Island area. North Island is known for beaches, coastal plains, forests and rivers.
