Surrounded by private gardens and nestled under the mountain’s watchful eye, this retreat blends comfort with nature's call.

A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be advised that we have another tiny house named " The Mini Mountain 1 " on the property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and surrounding areas. The main barn house is restricted unless permission is requested from the host.

- The Pouākai Crossing is a 19-kilometer hike in New Zealand’s Egmont National Park. It features majestic views of Mount Taranaki, alpine tarns, and verdant rainforests.
- At Egmont National Park, you will find Taranaki Maunga, New Zealand’s most perfectly formed and sacred volcano which holds deep significance for the Māori people. This dormant peak presents hikers with beautiful trails through rainforests, alpine shrubs, and scenic vistas.

- To the nearest city, New Plymouth: Half-hour drive, 20 km.

By Public Transport:

- Taranaki Mountain Shuttle provides transportation services in the area.

By Flight:

- The nearest airport is New Plymouth Airport (NPL).
- From the airport, it’s approximately a 30-minute drive to the location.
- Alternatively, you can arrange for a shuttle or taxi service from the airport to your destination.

- Wifi is unavailable
- Pets not allowed
- Gas BBQ Grill is available
- Pets are not allowed at this property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Mobile reception has a good signal for all telco lines
- Smoking is allowed in designated areas on the property
- Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality
- Don’t forget to close the windows and lock doors when leaving the tiny house/ property
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- Guests should not go off the trails into the forest as they might get lost, but the host can give them a tour of the area on request.
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
