The staff are friendly from the bellmen, front desk, housekeeping, waitstaff, cook, and pool attendants. Facility is clean and accessible. Food is delicious. We would stay here again!

This property is like a sinking ship, with its multitude of issues, like toilets that always clog up (doesn't matter which room you are in), tubs that don't drain correctly whilst taking a shower, TVs that don't work, internet WiFi that doesn't work, or is intermittent (moving room fixes this sometimes), gym equipment that doesn't work or is really old. The only saving grace is that the staff is excellent, as always, but they are dealing with what I equate to a sinking ship. It's too bad, as the improvements shouldn't be that difficult to implement.

Utilized the City Garden Hotel on short notice to wait out Typhoon Carina flooding in Manila. The front desk staff were excellent in helping me with a tentative check-out pending my original hotel being reachable after the flooding. Ms. Aibe was very diligent and efficient over the course of two hours helping me get back on track. As for the hotel, it has everything I needed. The room was clean and in good working order. I had a stay at the Grand sister property before, and I honestly prefer this property. The elevators are were quicker. The hallways were cleaner and cooler. And the room was even quieter. Overall, a very good value and great experience staying at the City Garden Hotel.

Agoda, etc have no control or checking over these hotels. If the holes’s pool is out of order nobody informs you and not even a discount after you’ve made the full payment for using pool, etc. It also happened to me in a 5 star hotel in Dubai the hotel asked me to pay Extra $250 Before they hand me the key and that was absolutely disappointing. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I came in to Makati for a quick stop over to relax during my 17 hour lay over. The staff at City Garden were so accommodating and kind to me. I was solo and was very tired after my early morning flight. They did everything to help me feel comfortable. The man at the pool (I wish I rememberd his name) was particularly kind to me, he even offered to make a bed in the gym area while i waited for my room to be ready. The front desk staff, particularly Ms Dada and Ms Lynne were very helpful in finding me a room that I could check into early. Security made me feel safe Rooftop pool area was aeesome and also had a hot tub that was perfect temperature for the climate. I would recommend this hotel and will return if I ever stop over in Manila again.

I stay here many times a year. My second favorite place to stay after the Dusit. Buffet breakfast is good with ample choices. The security in the front are amazing. Nicest and protective people you will meet. The pool on the roof is a little small.

Air Conditioner was broken prior to our arrival in
This the 3rd time that I booked for this hotel and 2nd Time that the air conditioning was broken before we arrived on July 01-02. We have another booking 3rd time is NOT acceptable dated July 19-20. This is will be the last booking that I will be using the hotel. If the Air conditioner was broken before we arrived then they should NOT used this for guest until it was fixed. They booked us and the. We are in the room no ventilation no fan and obviously the Air conditioner was broken prior to our arrival. Why did they booked us for that room and so slow in moving us to different room. The 2nd booking date we were moved to different room but this July 19-20 We were informed that NO available room to moved. We end up staying in the room so hot and and sweating during our stay.

We have stayed multiple times over the last 18 months, it not ro far from the airports or MRT, taxis/grab are easy to get in the area. Not a new hotel and maybe starting tonshow its age a little but for the price and location its pretty much impossible to beat... add to that staff that are wonderful and ir adds up to a really good place to stay.
