Fantastic Lake Stay
Just as described in their listing, this beautiful home on the lake was a perfect spot for our small family to enjoy a peaceful getaway. We loved the natural surroundings of the lake spot and spent the majority of our stay in the water and enjoying quiet hikes nearby. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy this quiet place. The house had all the amenities described and was very comfortable.

Ask about lake levels
Great property, very clean, beautiful view from windows in living room. If you plan on swimming from the dock or bringing your boat, make sure and ask about lake levels (or do your own research before you arrive) as the lake water level was so low when we went, the dock was not even in the water. Obviously no fault to the owner, but would be good to know before arriving to set expectations.

Overall we had a wonderful time on the lake. The house needs some thorough maintenance as in fridge cleaning, gutters and the rotting smell which seemed to come from the garage or shrub area. And it needs a grill! We'd stay again but would be better prepared.

PERFECT SPOT
House is lovely and inviting, just like the pictures. The entrance stairs are a little steep, but manageable. Very spacious, open and comfortable. Great place to spend relaxing. Close access to several state recreation areas for boat ramp. Quaint country store about 3 miles from the house with good food and milk shakes. Will definitely be going back.

Hidden Gem!!
This vacation home blew my expectations out of the water!! House was stunning. I was in complete shock once I stepped into this home. The bed was by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the sheets and comforter were so soft and comfortable I had to look at the tag so I could order some for our own home!! The location is perfect right across from the boat ramp. We took our boat and the private dock was a big bonus !! The water was a bit high so we had to get our feet wet to get to the dock but it was fine did not make any difference! Be ware of snakes we did see one venous one that appeared to have just hatched so if your not native this type of area be sure to talk with your little ones about snakes so they don’t try and touch them. This is totally normal in NC this time of the year. We will definitely be back with our children!! Host was amazing, communication was easy and answered any questions! This is the best house I have ever rented off this site!

A beautiful home with a beautiful view of the lake. Very clean and comfortable. We had an amazing time visiting wineries and Occoneechee State Park all just about 30 minutes from the house. We will definitely book this property again.

Beautiful Home to rent with private dock!
Beautiful nice spacious home within 100 yards of a private dock. Love the view from the living area looking down on the lake. The master bed was very comfortable and had a tv. Downstairs bedroom has 3 beds but no tv. Our son slept in the living room since he prefers to watch tv at night. Had a lot of kitchen appliances for cooking. Could have used extra towels and wash cloths but we ended up washing a load while we were there since there was already a load of laundry in the washer and dryer so it worked out. Floors needed vacuumed prior to arrival. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Fire pit area is nice but we did not have time to use it as we spent most of our time on the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay at this property. Last time was in the spring, and we really enjoyed it. Came back in the fall and were not disappointed! Catfishing from the bank was good and the house is very comfortable. We will probably be back!

Peaceful retreat
We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving getaway at this property. We cooked several meals and enjoyed the open floor layout, perfect for gathering around the table and kitchen to talk and eat. The views of the lake from the living room were very nice. We even had a chance to get a few hours of fishing in from the dock and sandy beach. Overall, great stay!

The house was spotless a beautifully decorated. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much anything you need for cooking. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Did a little kayaking and fishing off of the dock. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect Escape!
The pictures did not do this property justice - it was so beautifully decorated and a perfect place for us to get away and relax. It was immaculately clean and comfortable. Hosts were very responsive when we reached out with questions. Even though it rained, snowed, and hailed (in March!), we had a great time enjoying the view of the lake from the comfortable living room. We hope to go back again next year :)

House was well equipped and nice lakefront location. Beds were very comfortable. The living room is a wonderful place to relax, with windows on three sides facing the lake. The stairs to get in the house are a bit tricky as they are narrow and the glass door has to be pulled and held towards you as you climb the steps. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

Renting this property was very easy. The owner was easy to work with and was so helpful during our stay when we needed to add an extra night. The property is beautiful and allowed us to unwind after a busy day of work! I’m looking forward to staying at the property for a true vacation one day! Beautiful house and beautiful views!
