We were looking for a place with a small kitchen and a couple of bedrooms to stay for one night - and found this location at the Econolodge kind of last minute. I wasn't used to a VRBO being part of an Econolodge, and I sent a few questions, but didn't receive any responses.
Upon arrival, the person at the front desk had no idea they had a VRBO unit, which made me pretty nervous, but she called someone and found that they did... It's a small motel, and at this point I noticed 3-5 frantic Econolodge workers rushing into the VRBO unit with fresh sheets/towels/cleaning supplies, etc. Despite having just driven 5 hours, I politely asked one of the workers if they needed some time, and they politely responded that they would appreciate if I could wait 20 min...so we did.
Overall the unit was fairly clean and spacious, but be aware it's right along a 5 lane high speed highway, so it's not exactly quiet. And while it is "2 min from the great lake" as advertised, that's if you walk across the 5 lane highway and down a steep embankment. This one is on me, but note the unit has no AC, which ended up being a huge issue. Bad luck on our part but it was close to 90 degrees the day we got there, and the cleaning crew opened the unit up and ran the dishwasher, so it was 90F+ in the unit when we got in...and opening the windows wasn't great (at night) due to the noise from the highway. Additionally we asked for more fans, but were told there weren't any. Strangely every other room in the Econolodge had AC.
Breakfast was included but it's really just coffee, oatmeal and some cereal boxes...so better than nothing, but... Overall it was a hot, sleepless night for my whole family, and we were happy to be leaving in the morning.
