I had the pleasure of visiting Riu Tikida Palmerai during my stay in January. The weather was perfect for sun bathing at around 20-25 degrees most days along with offering amazing facilities like football, volleyball and table tennis. The gardens in the hotel are beautiful even as someone who doesn’t appreciate scenery these were a must look. I honestly don’t understand why people complain about the food obviously it’s not restaurant level but it does the job, they rotate some food on a daily basis and you can choose from the three restaurants in the evening but you also have to try some spots outside of the hotel, as the Moroccan food cannot be missed! The only thing I could fault from the hotel is the employees seemed a bit boring not really showing much emotion but that isn’t an issue that should turn you away as the hotel offers way more than what it’s valued out and you should definitely give it a try if your visiting the beautiful country of Morocco.

Xmas break

This resort was absolutely incredible! From the smooth check-in service to the comfortable rooms and grand lobbies with its decor and glamour. The food was good as expected with plenty of variety. There were a range of bars/restaurants to choose from which was also fantastic however we couldn't experience the Moroccan restaurant as they were based on reservation and there weren't enough for the nights we were there. They have a shuttle service too to take you to medina and back which was very helpful and saved us a decent amount of ££. The only few thing I'd like to highlight as negative is that the outdoor pool is not heated and we went in December so it was impossible to use the facility. Their wifi was also pretty bad in the rooms and bang on average in the lobby. Their toilets seemed outdated and the toiletries quality was pretty bad so worth improving upon. Lastly, they need more golf carts and drivers because we waited 1/2 hour to be taken to our room which was far away and also not easy for elderly to get back to reception as the golf carts wouldn't pick us up again.

It was an amazing stay due to all the restaurants staff and cleaning staffs. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Sabah from the restaurant staff was really kind and hospitable. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious, but a little tired. Beds and pillows comfortable. The staff are AMZING. So friendly and helpful, they always have a smile and say hello. The spa was closed for a refurb during my stay, but there is a decent gym there, and an indoor pool, and it looked like great facilities for children. The food and numerous restaurant spaces were great. After 7 days I found the breakfast and lunch options a little bit repetitive, but there was so much choice you could have something different every day. The dinner options were always fresh and fantastic. One downsides about the restaurants is that not everything was labelled up, or labelled correctly. Fine for me as i don’t have allergies or particular requirements, but not great for those who do. The entertainment team work really hard, and there’s something on each evening as well as throughout the days around the pool. Would go back.
