Located on the shore of pristine Tomales Bay, Joe’s Studio is the perfect economy getaway from the complexities of everyday life. Whether you want to cozy up indoors or stroll along the beach while keeping an eye out for seals and otters, you’ll have everything you need for a memorable escape.
From the deck, lounge in the sun, or grill up some oysters for dinner. Curl up with a book in one of our lounge chairs and enjoy the ebb and flow of the tides on Tomales Bay. Ready for an adventure? Rent a kayak nearby and venture along the bay. Settle in and let the wildlife and changing light on the water entertain you.
The studio is a cozy retreat - all on a quiet, historic private lane on the waterfront. Wake up to the gentle sound of water lapping the shore. Brew a cup in your well-equipped kitchen. The newly remodeled bathroom has more space and a contemporary shower. The quirky "shower in the kitchen" mentioned in older reviews is no longer here as we now have a completely remodeled kitchen and full bathroom-see photos.
Watch the natural inhabitants of the cove: snowy white egrets, great blue herons, countless flocks of shorebirds, seals, otters, sea lions, fish, bat rays and more. Want a memorable evening? Watch the fog roll in and out while sipping a glass of wine with the sun setting over the Point Reyes Peninsula. Studio has a private newly remodeled contemporary bathroom.
Want to explore? Hop in the car and take a 4-minute drive to Hog Island Oyster Company for a farm tour and lessons in oyster shucking! Drive a little further and explore Point Reyes Station & dozens of hiking trails, beaches, and more within the National Seashore.
Return to your own private retreat to enjoy breathtaking sunsets. If you love to cook, the studio has a fully equipped rustic kitchen. Or, enjoy a lovely evening out at one of the many acclaimed restaurants in the area.
