Beautiful house full of character with 3 separate outdoor seating areas. Quiet village with lovely surrounding countryside. 10 minutes drive to the Carrefour. Great base for walking, visiting Annecy and staying in for long lunches. Loved it.

Massignieu House
The house is in a beautiful setting with lovely views and close to the lake beaches at bourget. We spent most of our time by the pool and the fantastic outside area which was perfect for our group of friends and children. The pool was a little chilly at the end of August, but refreshing on a hot day. The house was clean with most rooms decorated in an older style with antique french furniture. Only downside was the bathroom set-up for a group of friends with 1 shower off 1 of the bedrooms, a bath off one of the bedrooms, 1 separate toilet and a shower room in the laundry area with its own toilet.

Maison magnifique avec trĆØs belle vue
Nous avons passĆ© une trĆØs agrĆ©able semaine avec nos deux familles. La maison est grande et trĆØs bien pensĆ©e, il y a plusieurs espaces pour se dĆ©tendre et apprĆ©cier la vue magnifique. Les enfants ont aussi beaucoup aimĆ© la piscine, le babyfoot et le billard amĆ©ricain. Avant notre arrivĆ©e Jean-Louis a rĆ©pondu Ć  toutes nos questions ainsi que durant notre sĆ©jour. Nous avons aussi Ć©tĆ© trĆØs bien accueillis. La rĆ©gion est superbe et nous nā€™hĆ©siterions pas Ć  revenir Ć  Massignieu de Rives.

A magical house in a beautiful area
We stayed here 7 adults and 4 children, all under 6 years of age. There was plenty of room for everyone, every part of the house is spacious. It is beautifully decorated which adds to the experience. Our favorite part though was the garden and outside area. There you will find apples, raspberries, figs, pears... And it's beautifully designed. The pool in the garden is nicely secured so you don't have to be tense about young kids playing in the yard. And on warm days it is a lot of fun to hit the pool. I would totally recommend this property for anyone looking to enjoy relaxing days in French countryside.

Beautiful house with a fantastic view
Great house for families. It has everything you need and more. We stayed with 6 adults and 6 children age 6 and under. House manager was friendly and welcoming. Location was great. We all felt at home for the week we were there. Will be back again.

A very nice house with lots of space and a special character!
The house is situated perfectly for cycling in this region (Grand Colombier, Mont du Chat, but also ViaRhona, all along the Rhone!). It is a very comfortable house with a good kitchen and bathroom facilities. It has a very authentic character with different stages, surprising doorways and rooms and really nice details. The pool-billard is super! We had a very nice week here with our group of ten people.

Nice big house with spacious outdoor area and a big swimming pool
We were a group of three families: 7 adults and 3 children (1, 5 and 8 yo). The house is big and suited us well. Plenty of beds (no crib though), enough toilets and showers, spacious kitchen and living area. We spent most of our time outside on the terrace or by the pool. The outdoor area is very spacious with a big table where everyone could sit together, another smaller table in the shadows, a sofa and a hammock. A gate has to be opened to access the pool area which is perfect when there are small children around. The house is situated in a small village and you must have a car to get to the super market and such. There is space for 4-5 cars in the shadow. Overall we were really happy with our stay. There were just a few things that could have made it even better. There is only one wardrobe to hang your clothes in the house. Other rooms had dressers though. The beds weren't the best but OK. The garden furniture needs to be updated, the chairs were literally falling apart. There were piles of dog poop in the grass which we had to pick up so the kids could run free. Lastly there was very little information in English. The information book in the house is mostly in French and so is the information on the HomeAway app. The owner speaks English very well though and answered all my questions through email. Would highly recommend this house and would love to come back one day!

Sehr schƶnes Landhaus
Wir haben die Zeit in diesem charmanten Landhaus mit sehr schƶnem Garten im Kreise unserer Freunde und Familie sehr genossen. Unsere SauberkeitsansprĆ¼che wurden jedoch nicht erfĆ¼llt. Vor allem die KĆ¼che war nicht sauber (Sieb GeschirrspĆ¼ler,Schubladen und Geschirr). In Bad und Dusche sollten die AblƤufe und Hahnen einmal grĆ¼ndlich gereinigt werden. Staubsauger waren voll - mussten zuerst gereinigt werden. FĆ¼r 8 Personen waren nicht genĆ¼gend GlƤser vorhanden und eine grosse Bratpfanne hat gefehlt. Sehr vieles ist vorhanden - super - leider lƤsst Zustand oft zu wĆ¼nschen Ć¼brig (FahrrƤder). Massignieu-de-Rives und Umgebung ist eine Reise wert!

Tolle Woche in einer tollen Umgebung
Wir haben die Woche Urlaub im tollen Haus umgeben vom tollen Garten sehr genossen. Die Gegend ist ruhig und landschaftlich sehr schƶn. Der Ort selbst hat so gut wie keine Infrastruktur, aber mit dem Auto ist man sehr schnell im Nachbarort, Belley, wo es mehrere Einkaufsmƶglichkeiten hat. Restaurants haben wir nicht vermisst, da wir selbst gekocht haben.

Tolles Haus in wunderschƶner Umgebung
Das Haus ist urig und es fehlt an nichts. Der AuƟenbereich ist wunderschƶn angelegt und gepflegt, es gibt mehrere Sitzbereiche und eine neue sehr gemĆ¼tliche Lounge. Der Poolbereich ist sogar mit einem kindersicheren Schloss verriegelt, was fĆ¼r uns perfekt war.

Wunderschƶnes Haus in Massignieu
Zwei Familien aus 4 Erwachsenen, 5 Kindern und Hund haben hier einen wunderbaren Urlaub verbracht. Der Vermieter ist super, antwortet sehr schnell. Vor Ort wird er von einem sehr netten Hausmeister vertreten. Das Haus ist groƟ, die Sauberkeit in Ordnung. Aufteilung und Zimmer sind gut beschrieben und gemĆ¼tlich. Alleinig die Matrazen (alle!) kƶnnten erneuert werden. Die AuƟenanlagen und der Pool sind fantastisch. Empfehlenswert!

Nous avons sĆ©journĆ© ensemble Ć  3 familles dans cette trĆØs belle propriĆ©tĆ©. La communication a Ć©tĆ© facile et amicale tant avec le propriĆ©taire qu'avec la personne intermĆ©diaire sur place. Les extĆ©rieurs sont magnifiques et bien pensĆ©s, il y a plusieurs espaces : terrasse trĆØs bien exposĆ©e juste devant la maison, terrasse ombragĆ©e sur le cĆ“tĆ© de la maison et terrasse "suspendue" comme un balcon au-dessus de la piscine. Il y a Ć©galement beaucoup de mobilier de jardin, confortable. La maison est aussi trĆØs agrĆ©able et spacieuse, on s'y sent bien. Un gros plus est sa fraĆ®cheur malgrĆ© la canicule! Bref, nous recommandons cette propriĆ©tĆ© pour un sĆ©jour dans la rĆ©gion.

Ein traumhaftes Objekt in herrlich ruhiger Gegend! Unsere (hohe) Erwartung wurde tatsƤchlich Ć¼bertroffen. Wenn denn nur der freundliche Weinbauer am Anfang der StraƟe sein Holzofenbaguette jeden Tag und nicht nur Samstags backen wĆ¼rde... Zum Weinkaufen selbst, ist man fĆ¼r gehobenere Wein in Jongieux besser aufgehoben und bei voller Belegung aller 6 Doppelzimmer wƤre ein ZusƤtzliches Bad/WC noch das I TĆ¼pfelchen

Super holiday
We had a super holiday at this place. The communication with Jean Louis was really clear, friendly and in English (nice for us non French speaking). The house was even better than the pictures. A really warm atmosphere with many places to sit down both in the Sun and shade. The pool was big, clean and well maintained. The area around the house is great for hiking, cycling etc. Overall we had a excellent stay and we hope to come back at this place somewhere in the future! Can realy recommend this place!
