Built in 2015, this contemporary, lake-front home was designed for family vacations and to take full advantage of the beauty of the home’s surroundings. Two private primary suites are available, each with its own screened porch to enjoy a quiet morning coffee overlooking the scenic cove. The first master suite has a full bathroom with a luxury shower, while the second suite has a bathroom with a jetted tub. And for your enjoyment, all bedrooms have a flat-screen TV. 

The common areas are open with expansive views of the water and ample seating both indoors and outside. Take advantage of the over-sized, covered porch overlooking the covered dock. The family chef will also enjoy the gourmet, well-stocked kitchen and outdoor grilling areas.

Conveniently located minutes from Rt. 33 and Beach Island Marina, this vacation home sits on a private cove with deep, quiet water.  A gently sloping driveway makes it easy for you and your guests to take full advantage of ample parking and room for your RV or boat trailer. The home has an unobstructed view of the cove as it meets the scenic Clinch River.  Only the beauty of the cove and the river is visible from our large, covered deck that wraps around two sides of the home, allowing for great views of the water and surrounding natural beauty.

The covered dock will always be made available to our guests to take advantage of year-round, deep water. Enjoy our sun-deck for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking. The quiet water of the cove provides a safe and calm area for families to enjoy the water. We have provided full electricity to the dock with the ability to control current from the top of the stairs so you can power off the dock while your family takes advantage of the cove.

Relaxing Getaway
The house was beautiful and property was very private, this was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Beds were comfortable, they provided plenty of beach towels, kayaks, and firewood (to be replaced if you used some). There are no houses across the lake, so you have an unobstructed view of the lake. Only advice if you're brining young ones is to buy a roll of window screen/mesh to wrap around the front porch rail so that it's childproofed. Overall, this house exceeded expectations and we plan to come back!

Beautiful Home With Bells and Whistles
Our stay was wonderful. The home is beautiful and immaculately kept with all the utensils and towels you could need. Only complaints are the oven didn’t seem to regulate the temperature like it should. The upstairs also got exceptionally hot while downstairs was cold. The interior of the home feels very dark at night and could benefit from brighter lighting. The exterior was also lacking lights by the hot tub area, which could present a safety concern . All of that said, we would stay here again and were very pleased.

Amazing Norris Lake Property!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ned's Norris Nook! We have stayed at multiple different locations on Norris Lake and this one is definitely our favorite! It is so much easier to access than many homes on this lake, not to mention the stairs to the lake are much shorter than any of the other places we've stayed. The location on the lake is nice too, it's set back off of the main water way but not so far back in a cove that it takes a long time to get out on the boat. The house itself was so clean and well stocked and the AC and the wi-fi worked well. A couple suggestions would be to spray for wasps down by the dock, there's quite a few nests down there. Also, the pullout couch upstairs squeaks every time someone moves on it which isn't the greatest for sleeping. Overall, BEAUTIFUL home, we will be back!!

Great Lake stay
This property was perfect for our family! We had 6 adults and 2 infants and it worked great. Pros: house was gorgeous and very clean. It was stocked with lots of pans/bowls/utensils. The back porch is a stunner and we were outside the majority of our time there. The firepit is gorgeous and we were happy to find the lighting outside at night to be perfect with the string lights over firepit and motion sensor lighting on the stairs. After reading through many reviews we were pleasantly surprised how close the water and dock were to the house. Yes there are stairs but not that bad. Your calves will get a workout but it’s really very close compared to other properties. Cons: The trash apparently gets picked up on Wednesday, so if you check in for a weekend like we did on a Friday, the trash bins were completely full. We let the management company know and they responded to us right away. They were not able to fix the situation so we made due. The thermostat upstairs is also not working properly and leaves the room with multiple beds freezing at 62 and the other room warm at 74 right next to it. Overall we loved our stay and would love to stay here in the future! The house is truly stunning

Ned’s Norris Nook was a great place to celebrate family!!!
The place was nice, but it was really really dark inside. There wasn’t enough lighting and the walls were way too dark! The big beautiful windows were very dirty. Don’t get me wrong loved the place and would come back again if the lighting and paint on walls changed.

Just Book It!
We have been traveling to Norris Lake for years. We are boating / water sports focused. I am not a fan of nit-picking the small stuff which some folks can't help doing. In reading the previous reviews, I believe they are mostly accurate. Yes, the last mile or so is a bit tight (small roads) but manageable with full size pickup and suburban pulling 21'+tandem axle trailers. Driveway was plenty big enough to hold two trailers, and three trucks with room to spare. Cleaning crew were a little late in finishing up but they did not impede our arrival and unloading. I was unable to obtain boat house dimensions in advance of our arrival so including them hear for future renters: The covered dock slip is approx. 19.5 ft wide by 35+ ft long. There is a cantilever lift on one side but it was dropped to its lowest position and did not bock usage. The boat house was great but could use some love and care and needs to be better aligned with the property so the bridge stays aligned with the stairs. We had a storm come thru which caused the bridge to become unaligned with the stairs to a point we were a little concerned and contacted property mgmt who promptly dispatched someone to correct ... like within a 2 hours. Very responsive. The kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs, the inside of the home was clean and well furnished and the master beds were very comfortable. The fire pit area was awesome. We forgot to ask if fire wood was supplied so we brought our own but later found a large wood pile on the property. We did not use the existing wood but rather left the extra we brought on the existing pile. Might be good to ask / clarify if renters are permitted to use whats there. My biggest recommendation to the owner / property mgmt would be to give the boat house the care it so deserves and if possible, have the upper windows in the great room cleaned periodically. The view is awesome but dirty windows detracts from this. Granted, the home is in the woods so expecting spotless windows is unreasonable. In summary, yes, we would rent here again without a second thought ... great location, great property, responsive property mgmt! One of the best all around properties we have rented and we have rented all over the lake. Thanks for an awesome week ...

Gorgeous house that is closely located to Beach Island Marina. House was beautiful appointed and had great amenities that enabled us to enjoy our time at Norris on both rainy and sunny days. Only negative was weak internet service.

We stayed towards the end of April. The weather was in the low 60's upper 50s. We were able to kayak everyday - there are 4 kayaks, 1 of them being a double kayak. The owners also had a canoe we were able to use. The firepit was fantastic, plenty of seating around the fire. The house was AMAZING!. It was beautiful! The kitchen is well stocked with cookware. There is a huge TV in the living room along with a gas fireplace. The beds were comfy with a massage feature. The whole house was clean. We had planned to eat out every day BUT did not want to leave the house so we made do with the bit of food we had brought. It was an incredible stay and one I would HIGHLY recommend.

This home and its location are absolutely beautiful! The kitchen was well stocked and had everything you could possibly need. The beds were extremely comfortable. Every morning we watched what seems to be the resident bunny and a chipmunk play in the yard. We spent many hours down fishing off of the dock watching the turtles. The home is right around the corner from a marina and Bubba Brews which was very convenient for the nights we didn’t want to cook. The only issue that I can see for some people who have younger kids that may want to swim or float on rafts is that the buoy for the slow/residential area is directly in front of the dock. Most were very considerate if we were out but just wanted to give a heads up because there was an occasional boat that would not slow down and caused a good size wake behind it. This is definitely one of our favorite-as well as cleanest- homes we ever stayed in!

Beautiful home and perfect location on Norris Lake. We enjoyed use of the covered boat dock and the beautiful oversized front porch. Memories were made by the gorgeous firepit area and use of kayaks. Home is comfortable and a great place for a family gathering.

Nice lake house and amenities. The king bed was really comfortable. I was expecting the house to be immaculately clean, especially given the extra cleaning Vacasa said they were doing for COVID-19. It was neat but not overly clean. I was sent a text upon arrival from Vacasa inviting me to respond if I had any questions. I responded with a question and never received a response. The trash from the previous renters had not been picked up when we arrived. Nevertheless, we had a fun time.

I definitely read the reviews before booking any property. Pros Beautiful property, accommodated well. Quick response from manager with any questions. Comfortable beds, nice gas fireplace. Sound of birds throughout the day. Cons Last mile of roads, if you meet someone going the other way, not a lot of space. Also the driveway was kinda of tight turning around. Qui et , but neighbor's were close. Would stay again in the future.

This home is very cool. The lake was beautiful every day. The accommodations were top notch. We would choose this home again. Wild life was everywhere, even saw a young bobcat up close. Ned has a place that is unique and very cool.
