"Bunker Haus" as we call it is a freestanding solid concrete block, 1 bedroom, 1 bath country cottage built from pre-1960’s. We recently restored and updated comfortably on Main Street, Medina, Texas.
The bedroom has a queen sized iron bed frame, 12" Mattress, 2 side tables, TV Ar moire re-purposed as a wardrobe, comfy red leather recliner, floor lamp, side table, 32" LED Smart TV monitor that can stream WIFI subscription shows or receive digital signal.
The kitchenette has an over sized stainless sink, counter top, microwave oven, electric kettle, crock-pot, cooking utensils, cups, mugs and plates. We added two coffee makers for variety (a) French Press (b) Standard Drip brewer. We provide coffee, tea, creamers, sugar and sugar substitutes.
Bathroom: Barn door slides, revealing the bathroom. A quality low water toilet was installed. Dual designer sinks, with stainless steel fixtures over a custom made vanity. A new hot water heater was installed. The shower is tiled in barn wood look porcelain.
Outside, an ample sized cedar post front porch was added. While sitting on a bench, you can enjoy a morning coffee or tea and a view of road 337, hills beyond and listen to occasional cows mooing across the road. Motorcyclists and auto club enthusiasts are also a sight to see as they venture on to the "Three Twisted Sisters loop".
The little cottage is located in walking distance to Old Timer convenient store, Little Cottage Quilt Shop, The Core coffee house, The Apple Store, Public Library, Keese's BBQ, Hardware store and the Medina River.
The Backyard: was updated recently with a custom made deck / pergola roof and wonderful 2 person Hot Tub. The Hot Tub has multiple water jets and LED underwater lighting. and waterfall feature. Relax and sooth your body after a long ride or hike in the hills. There's also a free standing BBQ pit, picnic table and lit up with led stringed lights overhead. One horse shoe stack and horse shoes available for a Texas challenge between your partner.
A shared firepit is also available and Adirondack chairs.
