Blending modern, French & farmhouse influences, our tucked-away slice of heaven captures the best of the wine region. With remnant forest surrounds, a solar-heated pool & proximity to the Merricks beach (6 mins), everything is here to help you unwind.
What makes staying at Elsewhere unique is that we are a family with good food in our hearts, & good food can be at the heart of your adventure with us too! Owner, Frenchman & chef Patrice @maisonbypatrice could provide you with, perhaps, a cooked breakfast, a fully catered stay or even a hosted dinner party for up to twelve if you so wish. Having owned a hatted French restaurant in Melbourne for 15 years, we made the sea/tree change to find our green place we are so excited to now share.
The space
Outdoors, you'll love the open air dining area with a green view over paddocks. Our pool and pool deck are visible from Else where's deck area, but are a bit off to the side. Guests can enjoy the beautiful pool between the hours or 3 pm and 5 pm Dec-Mar, while at other times it remains for private owners' use. The spa is not available for guest use.
Elsewhere is a separate cottage with its own parking and entrance, situated adjacent to the main house, which is separated from the cottage by just a few metres of garden & deck. Although your privacy and ours is important to us, there is a certain “togetherness” in the way our property is laid out in the outdoor areas. You can see a corner of the main house in one of the external photos. For privacy & safety reasons Elsewhere is NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 12.
*Council restrictions mean we can only provide cooking basics: There is a full family-sized fridge & pantry however. Other than that, there's a microwave/grill, portable induction hotplate, dishwasher, washing machine, Weber Q barbecue, and plenty of pots and utensils.
You'll find breakfast for the first day of your stay in the fridge: granola, yoghurt, home made compote, preserves, butter and local bread or home made brioche, milk and orange juice.
