Safe and great location. I stayed here prior to a hospital stay at The Alfred. Very clean, spacious rooms. Complimentary coffee pods and range of tea available. Staff very friendly. The 24/7 reception very handy. Parking on site also convenient (pricey at $45 a night however room cost was great at $130 a night). Only improvement would be the pillows. They were way too high.

Good hotel, location close to CBD with regular trams. Upon check in, it would have been good to give directions to find the room and give information regarding breakfast I also feel that water should be supplied in the room considering the room rate.

Stove top would’ve been nice with pots and pans so couldn’t cook anything during my time there as I didn’t think I needed to bring my own. Room looked clean until I found Women’s underwear, looked like it had been there for a while. Also found a sock in the room which wasn’t ours. One of the staff members were also rude and didn’t give me much help at all. It also would’ve been lovely to be notified about the construction going on as it was noisy in the mornings.

This hotel has major construction taking place directly behind it, you will be woken early by very loud noise that sounds like it is next door to you. Reception staff were standoffish, rude and didn’t answer the phone. People should be warned about the construction. I called reception 12 times, had to walk to reception to speak to someone, I walked away and called and watched her just let it ring without answering. Clearly they are bored of complaints and are just ignoring them. I wouldn’t stay here if you paid me to.

We booked online and requested parking onsite only to be told when we got to the hotel it was first in first served and there was no parking. The closest parking was 2 blocks away and they forgot to mention when told where the parking was that there was only 6 spaces! Not happy. Accommodation was ok,location right near tram stop, and food places

Check in was easy with pleasant receptionists. Room was comfortable with great king bed. TV remote wasnt working & someone was sent promptly but as they couldn't fix we were relocated next door but the remote wasnt working for aircon & had to climb on chair to reach power plug to turn unit off & on.which still wasnt working when I left. Lovely coffee at coffee shop 2 doors up at Times cafe. Enjoyed Spud Bar a short walk to Commercial Rd. Would stay again if husband has to attend Alfred Hospital.

When we requested things from reception they liked to take 40 to an hour and a half to get there, their kitchen supplies were limited, they had a stove no pots or pans.... etc, the viewing spot we had did not measure up to the standard we booked online, there bathroom cacklities wasnt great, had lots of water leakage! But overall it was ok, unfortunately we wouldnt stay there again

There was a person in the room opposite who sounded a loud horn at various times of the day beginning before 6am and finishing around 11pm. Perhaps a call to prayer. On occasions the noise was deafening. Hotel staff appeared to be one receptionist, who said she would investigate when I mentioned it at check out. I don't think I would return to this hotel

The staff here were beyond helpful, they organised early check in for me at no extra cost, I had a few hiccups with my room and they resolved the issue and upgraded me immediately at no extra cost--not something I was expecting, but so appreciated. I can't recommend them enough, purely on how lovely and accomodating the reception was. Will definitely be staying here again.
