The property was clean and attractive. We enjoyed seeing the wild turkey and deer out in the field behind the house. The kitchen was pretty well equipped but did lack a tea pitcher and 13x9 casserole dish. We enjoyed sitting around the table together enjoying a good meal. The porch was inviting and peaceful. A major problem we experience was almost no phone service and there was not a land line in the house, which could be terrible if there was a medical emergency, especially with older guests. The wifi service was also weak at times.A person may also want to bring a dvd player if you want to watch tv, because wifi quality affected the tv. Other than the issue of technology, it is a nice place to stay. Plenty of hot water for showers.

We wanted a quick family getaway for Father's Day and 2 birthdays. We had such a wonderful time. The house is very comfortable and plenty of space for everyone. We loved how close we were to town. The owners are very responsive. The kitchen is very well equipped. Highly recommend this property.

Better than the pictures!
We had a wonderful visit in one of our favorite areas. My two older kids and I needed down time, and we found the perfect place to do it. The cabin is thoughtfully equipped and spacious. It seems like there was an addition, which makes all the difference. We hiked trails and did zip lining in DeSoto. We’ve been going there for almost 15 years and used to tent camp. I’m so glad we decided to upgrade to a cabin this trip! We had one rainy day, but the cabin was so relaxing, we didn’t mind one bit.

We loved the cabin and the rustic decor !!!! The beds are super comfortable, beautifully decorated bedrooms with private or easily accessible bathrooms !!! We made s’mores around the fire pit two nights, big hit with the kids. Spent some time at the local parks and Arts and Crafts shops. We’re already discussing plans to return next year !!!!

We had an incredible Thanksgiving at Greener Pastures! The spacious kitchen made cooking a breeze, and the cabin had everything we needed for the week. Enjoying movies, games, and relaxation in the living room and on the back screened porch was a highlight. The comfortable bedrooms and numerous bathrooms added to the overall comfort. The beauty of the cabin, coupled with the owner’s helpfulness and easy check-in, made our stay truly enjoyable. We hope to return to Greener Pastures on our next trip to Mentone.

The house is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable. Everything was spotless, beds and furniture were very comfortable, and the owner/manager was incredibly kind and helpful. Could not more highly recommend staying here and we hope to come back very soon!!
