Art Deco Gem on the Beach

Avalon Hotel made our first trip to Miami Beach a memorable one! It’s a cool historic Art Deco hotel with a fun vibe. It sits across from the beach in a great location on Ocean Drive. We had drinks and enjoyed the nightly live music there, and also we could walk to restaurants in both directions. Didn’t need a car. Hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. The only hiccup was the walls are thin and at 2:00am the first night the guests next door were talking loudly. I went down to the desk clerk and they took care of it. Was the only time. Otherwise a wonderful stay.

My first visit to South Beach so I guess I do not if standard of judging is different here. This hotel is located in a nice location and is historic. However, the building needs some serious repairs. The room was quiet, with comfortable bed and really large TV. However, the bathroom was really small. The towel had stains on it. The elevator is really small. Again, overall I do not know if it is one of nicer properties in the immediate vicinity since all those building are so old.

Great location and staff. We arrived before our room was ready but was able to store our bags while we explored the area. They called us when the room was ready allowing us to check in a bit early. Would certainly stay here again.

Very charming boutique hotel, beds were comfortable, easy access to beach and restaurants along Ocean Drive. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was small but was suitable. We were right in the middle of the NYE festivities which was perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at Avalon during the Christmas week. The staff were very professional and friendly and the location was perfect. The room and the common areas were clean and well maintained. There was one issue with our booking: we did reserve a room for three (2 adults 1 child of 13 yo). However, the room was able to accommodate only two. The front desk concierge went out of his way to arrange for an inflatable bed, which worked perfectly in the end. However, we suggest to double check the room capacity with the hotel directly if booking via Expedia. Overall we had an amazing stay and highly recommend this place.

During our recent stay at Avalon Hotel in South Beach, we had an absolutely wonderful experience that exceeded our expectations in many ways. From the location to the amenities and the exceptional service, this hotel truly stands out. Location: One of the best things about Avalon Hotel is its prime location. It is situated in the heart of South Beach, just a short walk from the beautiful sandy beach. This made it incredibly convenient for us to enjoy morning strolls by the ocean, soak up the sun, and take in the vibrant atmosphere of South Beach without needing to drive or plan elaborate transportation. Parking: Unlike many hotels in the area where parking is a challenge or exorbitantly priced, Public Parking on 7th Street and Washington neAvalon Hotel offers overnight parking at a very reasonable rate of $20. This was a huge relief, as it allowed us to park conveniently without worrying about additional costs. The process was seamless, and the staff made sure we were taken care of. Cleanliness and Room Quality: The hotel is impeccably clean, from the lobby to the rooms. Our room was spotless and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. The decor is tasteful and aligns with the vibrant yet laid-back South Beach vibe. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job every day, ensuring that our room remained fresh and tidy. Punching above it's weight

Tiny boutique hotel with an outstanding location on Ocean Drive steps from the beach. Whilst the windows are largely air tight and keep a lot of the sound out, it is never going to be 100%. So ideally try for a room higher up! Service on the whole was absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended.
