Worst experience ever - On day 2 of my stay, a non english speaking person came to my room with a message they could not relay due to language barrier. They had to call the office, the person on the ph from office said they need me to come down to the office. End result there was a leak in my room into room below and they needed to switch my room asap. I was moved into a smaller room that smelt of mold. Within an hr my fiancé got sick, due to whatever was in the air he remained unwell for most of the rest of our weekend getaway. I asked for another room, we had to move again, and change car parking with security. All of this took a few hours in addition to fiancé illness there went afternoon plans we were trying to do before the rains came. I asked to speak to a manager, however there was no manager available. Construction sounding noises in another room disturbed my and now ill fiancé's sleep from about 730am on Sunday. I wish i could get a refund for my wasted few and far between down time due to busy schedules weekend away. I will have to email manager Wednesday or hope for a response to this poor review from management.

I am sorry to say, what a disappointment! This was like staying at the Hotel California :0...it was an ordeal from beginning to end! The longest check-in procedure and craziest elevators I've ever seen; no floor buttons inside and some signs are missing or don't work to call for one! The valet parking situation is archaic...not to mention they "lost" our tag, but if you lose it, they charge you $35 no exceptions. Waited 30 min. for our vehicle after check-out, it was a holiday, though I will give them that, but waited 30 min. the evening before as well even though we called 15 min. ahead as they suggested. A long black hair was right on top of our sheet, the only positive thing was a fantastic view, the pool area was good and the male receptionist (8/30-31) was very nice & helpful. Also, you have to buy ice...pretty lame not to even have an ice machine or a frig w/an ice maker...seriously!

In the photos the apartments looked clean and organized, but when we arrived at the place it was already horrible, the apartment and the building needed maintenance, the apartment was dirty and had a horrible smell, besides having something on the bed that I woke up with insect bites on my body, I do not recommend it to anyone.

It was formally the Playboy Plaza Hotel back in the 70's. But what made my trip was the complete hospitality of the staff. Then what was a lifesaver for me was the lady in the office and the male office worker before my check out time allowed me a very late checkout and kept my luggage in storage until 8pm. My flight to back to Buffalo wasn't until 6am. I was very thankful and appreciated everything

Our room was tidy but a deep clean should be done. There is pink mold on the tiles behind the door in the bathroom and black mold on the line in the bath tub to hang bathing suits etc. The bed was comfortable and sheets clean- no problem there. It was quiet around us, so again, no problem. For the amount of time we spent in the room, it was fine. Hopefully, one day, it can be renovated as there are layers upon layers of paint on the walls/door, etc. Maybe this is the norm in the area for this price range. Overall, it was ok for what we needed and the amount of time we spent in the room.

Where do I begin. We are locals that decided to stay at the beach for a staycation while our home was being fumigated. From the minute we arrived there was chaos. There was no clear direction on how to check in because the front desk was the security booth. I made the line just to be pointed to the end of the hallway to a spooky office. Once I finished the check in process in that office I had to make the line again in the security desk. During this time consuming process, my wife was in the car with our one year old. Once I got all the check in squared away, I ask for a luggage cart to unload our bags. I was told it was on a first come first serve basis, I also needed to leave my ID as a deposit to use the luggage cart, and I had to offload and bring all my bags from the car up to the lobby which was about ten flights of stairs not including the ones you have to get to in the lobby. When I asked for a ramp I was told they didn't have one. HUGE BUILDING CODE VIOLATION! I had to wait an additional 30 minutes in the lobby until a luggage cart became available to use. To make matters worst, my wife and daughter had to around the building to the pool area to open the gate that is located by the loading dock of the building which is a safety issue with guest with disabilities. Non residents have access to one elevator through out their stay making it impossible to get around. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Not as marketed. I will be filling a formal complaint with City Officials.

We had a terrible stay. We could not hook to the WIFI there was a language barrier with all employees so we never did get that figured out. Then our electric went out so everything in our fridge went bad. Once again they did not fix the issue. The room smelled bad. No house keeping the whole week. Was close to the beach but the elevators took 20 min to get anywhere. Staff was extremely rude. Tiki bar by the pool was friendly. Expensive but friendly.

Pro: The ocean view from the room is amazing. The access to the beach is minutes away. Staff were nice when I had to interact with them. I was able to catch the public bus to South Beach for the day for $2.25 and Uber to food and coffee within minutes for around $6-$7. Con: My bed was broken—sinking in the middle and squeaked when you sat on it so I didn’t have a comfortable sleep for my stay. I asked twice to get a new room or bed and didn’t get accommodated. I found a roach crawling on my extra bed in my room. The property is dated and could use some upgrades but it wasn’t totally filthy. I did see housekeeping everyday sweeping, mopping and cleaning. The elevator situation can be a little annoying at times. You may wait long periods for the elevator. People there will jump in front of you knowing that you’ve been there waiting. There were a few times when I just took the steps to the 16th floor. I didn’t get the chair and umbrella as promised with my reservation. I was told that they were all gone and I have to ask for one before 11am so I ended up paying and renting one from the shop in the hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again based on my not being accommodated with my bed, long elevator wait times, and I don’t like sleeping with bugs—roaches especially.
