Welcome to the Cozy Getaway in Michigan City, one of four units in a charming 4-plex. Escape with family or friends near the dunes of Lake Michigan! This is a downstairs 1bed/1bath unit! Very Nice and open apt. Guests will love being able to walk to the beach, outlet mall, zoo, restaurants and shops. Minutes drive to hiking trails in the nation's newest national park, casino, wineries, boat rentals, splash pad and park. This is the perfect little getaway for up to 4 people who want to relax or adventure!
The Space:
Walk in and feel right at home with everything you need to have a great stay at in Michigan City.
Charming open concept apartment displays the charm of the original design, with large archways, and bay-windows. The kitchen is a fully functional galley style kitchen with fridge, gas stove and dishwasher and an east facing window at the end to let in the morning sun. Pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, forks, spoons, knives, are in the cabinets the drawers, everything but the groceries.
The main room has a queen bed and divided by an arch with couch and TV on the other, and a little dining table is tucked into the bay window.
If you want the romantic getaway, we suggest this apartment.

UNIT PERKS:
--This apt has a sofa bed in the family room that accommodates up to 4 guests.
--This rental includes a kitchen with a fridge/freezer, sink, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, blender & coffee maker. Essentials like plates, cups, cookware, utensils, & paper towel will be provided for your use.
--Along with coffee, creamer and sweetener are provided.
--Cooking spray, olive oil, salt/pepper are provided.
--A hair dryer and showering essentials/bath towels are available.
--Small beach toys for kids and and beach towels are provided for each guest.
--A few board games are available for your use.
--Guests can park in front of the house.
TECHNOLOGY:
--A smart TV is hooked up in your living area
--High Speed Wifi is provided.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
We welcome guests of all backgrounds! However, due to prior disrespectful renters and property damage, we will only be accepting booking requests from:
--AirBnB users who are "verified" and who already have positive reviews from other hosts.
--Renters that are above the age of 25.
--A maximum of four guests per reservation. Extra guests are not allowed.
--We value our relationship with our neighbors, so events/gatherings/parties are not to be held by guests. To keep the unit in excellent condition for future guests, we are firm on these rules. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
***Note that if you are bringing infants/babies, the unit is NOT baby-proofed. (Furniture is not secured to walls, outlet blockers are not included, cabinets/drawers are not locked, etc.) You assume responsibilities for all guests.

Available to all guests is a patio table with four chairs on the front porch to read or have coffee, and a picnic table in the yard.

A car is the best mode of transportation around the area. Feel free to bring your own bikes, as biking along the lakefront is beautiful.
Other Things to Note:
This house built in the early 1900s, and in the early 2000s redesigned and remodeled into four private units. Much of the Victorian charm remains, including some of the original wood plank floorings, the high ceilings, gables, wide arches, stairs, but with the advantage of modern kitchens, upgraded electric, each unit has its, central air conditioning, and heat.
