Very charming and nostalgic. Beds were very comfortable. Gareth was the perfect host and made us feel very welcome. We ate at Main St daily as it was very convenient and everything I ordered was very tasty. Don’t forget to get some ice cream too! 😋

The place was like home away from home with amazing history to keep you interested in every inch of the Hotel. Every thing was so very clean and orderly you would think there's a full staff that follows you around cleaning behind you.

I loved the historical sense that you get from walking in. The people are friendly, and the rooms are comfortable while maintaining that historic feeling. We loved the cats that all welcomed us as well!! Really great experience!!!

Fantastic time capsule!
The Hotel Texan was a wonderful place to stay! The owner was amazingly helpful, and it was a very cool building and "feel." I was there for the eclipse, and they actually had viewing glasses for their guests. The breakfast was wonderful (breakfast burritos). I really enjoyed my time there, and would recommend it heartily! I truly loved the antiquated vibe of the hotel, this one is fantastic!

The Hotel Texan is a restored historic motel, obviously an old building, creaky wood floors with period furniture. And that is its charm!! Bathroom is modern, no walk to the outhouse of course!! The town of Seagraves is very small.

This is a hotel built in 1917. The rooms are cute. I was told it used to have 20 rooms with one bathroom but now it has 7 rooms each with it's own. The owner is really nice and very informative. Somethings that may be a turn off for some people is the lack of an alarm clock, outlets, in room coffee pot, microwave, and mini fridge but these things were not a burdan for me. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very relaxing atmosphere and great service. Shannondoa and Roy (AKA Grandpa) made us feel right at home. Had an excellent pizza and some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had right next door. Also, had a great visit with Roy, one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met.

What a gem!
My husband and I had such a wonderful stay at the Hotel Texan. Gareth is a fantastic host, he made us feel welcomed and staying here was like visiting a friend (who just so happens to own a hotel). We love staying at these historic properties, yes they are a bit quirky (uneven floors, small bathrooms, no elevators ) but the history is so enchanting. The hotel has some really nice antiques. Our room was in the front of the hotel and had a nice sitting area and separate bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and we had a nice quiet night. Breakfast included was homemade banana bread, variety of cereal, pop tarts, instant oatmeal, milk, juice, coffee, hot chocolate, blueberry muffins. Gareth also had a Coke available for me! Our stay included a gift card to the Pizza restaurant next door where we had THE BEST calzone we’ve ever had. The herbs on the calzone crust included rosemary. The top crust was like a cracker so nice and crispy, not soggy. We got the supreme with tons of fresh veggies along with sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon. More than big enough to share which left us room for ice cream. The only slight complaint I would have would be the room could be a little more clean.

"A Grand Lady Has Awaken"
The Hotel Texan is incredible! Amazing history, gorgeous antiques, delightful rooms. Premium bedding, extremely comfortable night's sleep. Beautiful patio with a large koi fountain and garden lights. I got to see the guest book that was signed 100 years ago. Of course, I signed the 2023 version. This hotel is well worth the detour if you're anywhere in the vicinity. The pizza next door is an added bonus. I'm not sure I've ever had better pizza. Wonderful stay, and stories. Thanks!!

A Step Back in Time
An absolutely beautifully refurbished hotel. I'm no expert but we felt like we had stepped back through time to fine hotel in Texas. The furniture, the antiques, even the floorboards gave that old tyme feeling. Having the pizza and ice cream parlor next door was super convenient. The host, Graham, and his nephew were excellent! Very welcoming and went out of their way to be sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We came in after dark and left before the sun was up so we didn't see much of the town. Next time we will!
