Always check about elevators! None here--we are Seniors & had to carry our bags to second floor. Also had to check-in at Hotel next door. No security----chain lock falling off door frame. 'Hair' in shower. No heat in bathroom.

This is very good hotel,and this was our third visit to this place. We got a wonderful room, but last time we got a terrible room. There is an iron bed in the room, the bed creaked ,very bad mattress.There were no bedside tables. We couldnā€™t sleep all night. When we booked a hotel we were shown a completely different room

Very nice, great location
Very nice place, has been updated but definitely an older building. Itā€™s like staying in a giant house, with real keys for the doors. The location and the restaurant/bar downstairs is great. The only issue we had was with the housekeeping, that didnā€™t lock our door in our first day and to our surprise, came in before check-out to start cleaning as we were still moving out of the room. The front desk was very apologetic, but definitely off putting.

Lovely little town, great location in the little town center. Coffee shop next door and a great breakfast in a beautiful sunroom of the hotel. Our room itself was fine, nothing special. Clean but dated and drab.

Disappointing and overpriced
Our first room was nicer in appearance but was looking out on a tar papered roof with a large air conditioner unit right outside the widow. We asked if we could have a room with a better view. We got one on the front of the hotel behind the fire escape. The room was a little tired and in need of updating. The bathroom was very small and old looking. The location is very good and the woman who checked us in, at a nearby hotel, was quite nice. But I would not stay here again. For $300 + I think we could have done better. We decided to eat at The Tom Quick restaurant. It was one of the slowest restaurants at which we have ever eaten. The food was ok, not great, and it took close to two hours to get our entrees. Again, the wait staff and manager were very friendly but there wasnā€™t much they could do to remedy the situation. Again, we will not be going back. The breakfast, which was served at the nearby hotel, was good. Not wonderful but pretty good and in a very pretty setting. The coffee could have been stronger and my husband said the bacon was good.

Cute boutique hotel locared in a charming neighborhood. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We used the hotel as a base fir exploring the many beautiful waterfalls in the area.
