Amazing!!
This home is exactly as described and was perfect for what we needed. Being originally from the area, it was great to have our own place for the week that we were back in town and spending time on the porch overlooking the lake was such a peaceful way to start and end each busy day of visiting friends and family. We have traveled all across the country, with our dogs, and have to say that this was the most well appointed and stocked home that we have stayed at! And so clean, which is even more important. We would definitely love to come back when we are in the area again. Sherry and Mark are outstanding hosts! Highly recommend!

Great View
We spent three nights at this beautiful cottage with a stunning view of the lake. The owners were very communicative and prompt. We particularly enjoyed the extra-large chair and ottoman by the patio doors, which provided a relaxing spot to take in the scenery. We highly recommend this cottage.

Beautiful Cottage on the Lake!
The house was very clean and inviting with fun furniture and a great view! Sherry and Mark left a lovely note of welcome and a delicious box of local chocolates. That was very sweet but, my favorite part was the dog accessories including dog bowls and sheets so our pups could sit with us on the furniture! a good time was had by all.

A Lovely Cottage on the Lake!
My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the cottage and would have loved to have stayed longer if time had permitted us on our travels through Michigan from Florida! The cottage was very clean and we felt welcomed by the personal note and chocolates left by the owners. Everything we could have needed and more was supplied in the cottage. The weather was chilly so we enjoyed using the fire pit on the patio area in the evening. Sitting outside and looking out over the lake in the cool, crisp mornings and listening to the sounds of nature was so beautiful and refreshing! We took a daytrip into nearby Frankenmuth for some shopping and a chicken dinner at Zehnder's which was also fun. Communication with the owners was very easy. They were very friendly available to answer any questions we had. We hope to make it back for a longer stay at this lovely cottage on the lake in the future!

Great little romantic getaway
Despite the not so great weather while we were there, we were still able to enjoy our stay there. Our little weekend away was cozy and relaxing and the little touches around the house were appreciated. The hosts were very responsive as well.

Best Vacation Ever
The cottage was by far the best that we ever rented. We would definitely rent it again. The cottage was spotless and comfortable. Appliances appeared to be brand new. The cottage was well lit at night. Air conditioning worked perfect on hot days. Plenty of windows and doors to open during cool evenings. Fishing using the row boat and trolling motor in Lake Murphy was so much fun. I caught Northern Pike, large mouth bass, sunfish and blue gill. We had a great breakfast at McPherson and a delicious lunch in Frankenmuth.

Beautiful lakefront stay
I have to start with how clean the property was. We have stayed in several lake homes over the years and this was by far the cleanest home we have ever stayed in. No bugs anywhere in the house and outside was very clean and well maintained. From the welcome note to the box of chocolates from a local shop we felt very welcome from the get go. There were bottles of water in the fridge and a basket of toiletries available for anything we may have forgotten. Owners kept in touch and were available for any questions. The row boat and aqua cycle were a nice addition as well. Couldn’t have been happier with the property!! If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful relaxing stay look no further.

Peaceful getaway with our Dog
Our stay was fantastic, so relaxing and quiet, the lake view is amazing the lake was so fun for our dog to swim in, we took the fishing boat to the sand bar for her to swim and just cruise around the lake, the house is so cute and summery. We sat on the deck every nite watching the sun with our dog and a cocktail, there was a nice enclosed gate so she was safe with us. We grilled and and just relaxed in the evenings and swam and used the fishing boat during the day, I love this place it was our 3rd time back!

Cute cabin. Listing states 'sleeps 4' in one spot and specifies '2 adults and 2 children' in another so be careful. Also, be careful about your communications with this owner. It doesn't matter what she agrees to. What counts is what's in the paper you sign. That's also what would stand up in court. Read carefully. Admittedly, I had 2 extra people there for 1 night which freaked a neighbor out. I guess he thought we were having some huge pot smoking party when my sons were out smoking cigs and vaping as permitted. Or maybe it was the blow up sprinkler my son had for my 2 year old grandson. Not sure. Our choice was leave or 2 of us go to a motel but we wouldn't be able to visit even though visitors were agreed to in the emails we exchanged (which I have copies of). The Mr suggested we get a partial refund for the 4 nights we would not be there. The Mrs said no, behaved hysterically and, worst of all, yelled at my 14 year old grandson who was standing beside me. Totally uncalled for. We left in a great hurry due to being informed the cleaner would soon be there. The place was left in good condition except that, in the rush, I forgot to start the dishwasher. Sorry.

Great Lakefront Cottage
This property is perfectly described and has the breathtaking views that are shown in the pictures. So many places to sit outside and enjoy multiple fire pits. The boat and aqua cycle are really fun too. Everything from spices to sandwich bags are in the fully stocked kitchen for you. Total quiet and relaxation are what you find here.

Lovely for a quick getaway
Lovely place, with a direct access to the lake. Has boats available and firepits. If you like privacy, the houses around are really close, just over the railings. The sitting area closest to the lake was more private from the neighbour's windows thank to foliage. The lake is amazing. We did not have issues with bugs, however we did run into a rat snake, which was not aggressive and didn't eat us ;) Overall- reccomend!

Very comfortable with every amenity. Only full day was rain and thunderstorms. The owners were friendly and helpful. Situated on steep incline with lots of steps making property difficult for those with mobility issues. Lots of unmarked wall switches. Never figured out how to operate over head light in living area.

Great Lake House Retreat
