I want to start by saying the house appears to have been recently renovated and the inside is very nice looking. The outside of the house has overgrown grass/weeds over the stairs leading into the property. There was also a For Sale sign outside which kind of threw us off. The area is a little rough, but you are within a short driving distance of lots of places.
There is no driveway or garage, so street parking is your only option. The city of Milwaukee gives you 3 free nights of street parking, and then you have to pay (would be $1 a day).
The house does feel nice and air conditioned on the main floor and the basement, but the upstairs does get kind of warm even with the unit running because the unit is on the other side of the room from the bed.
The host is very friendly when they do respond, but unfortunately I didn’t get a lot of responses. I messaged them a couple of months in advance for recommendations on what to do in Milwaukee and I didn’t get a response. I asked again the week of my trip, to which I was told their assistant would get back to me by the end of the day. I never heard back. I tried to call the number on the VRBO info after we checked in, but the call wasn’t answered and I didn’t get a callback after my voicemail. The host was responsive right before we checked out.
All in all, the house is nice and comfortable, but the lack of communication from the host and the lack of an actual dedicated parking space are kind of a bummer.
