Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
First room was musty. Second room offered smelled faintly like cat pee. Third room was lovely, clean, and comfortable.
Front desk staff was having a rough day with the smoke alarms having gone off, the fire department there, and sprinklers had wet everything and made waterfall noises in the elevator. We weren't warned not to use the elevator until we got off on the second floor and reported to maintenance that we heard waterfall noises in the elevator. He said not to use it. 2nd day they were drying the hallway with blower fans, which is good and proactive to avoid mold.
Parking lot was very icy and on a hill. In Minnesota in January that might be unavoidable. But we will look for a hotel with a flat parking lot next time.
Breakfast was good, but without enough seating, and with long lines for eggs and bacon the second morning. Coffee was weak. We added some instant coffee to ours after the 1st day.
All staff was friendly and helpful, particularly the breakfast attendant. The exception was a young woman at the front desk with no name tag visible. She had dark hair in a bob, above shoulder length, and a u-shaped silver nose ring with small balls on each side's points as they stuck out of each nostril. Not my favorite to see at a high-end hotel front desk, but Minnesota has fallen way down, so I would have overlooked that. But she was also somewhat rude and unfriendly in the 2-3 interactions we had with her over the three days we were there.
We would not stay there again.
