FALLING WATERS COLO VALE

Welcome to Falling Waters Colo Vale. Colo Vale (colloquially known as the Vale) is situated North of the Historic towns of Berrima, Bowral and Mittagong, 5kms from the Hume Hwy and 125km from Sydney CBD.

The beautiful Southern Highlands is one of the most unique places in NSW. The Highlands are renowned for its history, stunning scenery, wines and pies, beautiful walks and waterfalls.

If you are looking for a romantic weekend, quick getaway, quiet escape in a stunning location, Falling Waters Colo Vale has everything you need. A fully self contained log cabin with open fire, luxury king size bed, kitchen for all your needs.

Richard and Deb are your hosts along with Brent and Mykala and our 4 fur Goldieā€™s. They are often wandering around the property, extremely friendly and rule the roost, there are 14 chickens 8 sheep, 2 Alpacas and we also have resident Wombats which come out late at night if your lucky you might see them! There is so much abundant bird life we just take a guess on what we can hear and see, Kangaroos also pop up for a visit every now and then.

There are NOT a lot of shops near the property, Hill Top which is 5kms up the road which is closest has a Chinese Restaurant and is open most days, the Bakery which also makes chicken, pies, pastries etc, a Newsagent, Post Office and Bottle shop, there is also a take away shop which has really nice Pizzas, there are brochures for you to browse in the manifest in the kitchen. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in Mittagong and Bowral.

As an added bonus we are located 15 minutes away from the Southern Highlands wineries and all that the Southern Highlands has to offer.

Falling Waters Colo Vale is situated on 35 acres, you are free to walk around the property but we ask that if you have a pet with you please keep your pet on a leash due to the fact that the property has a lot of bush and wildlife.

The luxury log cabin is a home away from home and is positioned for privacy from the main house an offers comfort and parking availability. Unfortunately there is no WIFI in the cottage.

This property was a blessing for us and our two dogs (one a very anxious and reactive pooch). As we were relocating interstate, Falling Waters offered some much needed respite after long week of packing and a long day of travel. Just perfect!

Perfect antidote to a stressful day of travelling
Falling Waters was perfect for our overnight stop over especially after battling the Sydney traffic ā€“ it was the perfect antidote. With a cheese board and G&T in hand, we soaked up the peace and calm of the bushy environment, mesmerised by the stunning bird activity... and just like that, the stress of the day fell away. The space and comfort suited our needs perfectly and the gorgeous bathroom a lovley treat. 10/10 for me, my partner, my elderly mother and her small pooch.

Lovely hidden home
We stayed for a wedding in the area. Our 2.5year old daughter absolutely loved the chickens, dogs and sheep in the back yard. A very nice yard available for use and well back from the road. Hosts were lovely, and provided plenty of firewood for the indoor fire to keep away the chill. We would definitely choose to stay again.

Our stay was great. Relaxing and peaceful. A lovely cosy feeling in this log cabin especially having the fireplace on the cooler nights. The bed was comfy. Had the best relaxing bath in the huge bath tube. A lovely new and clean bathroom. Our little dog had plenty of space in a secure fenced in area off the front verandah. I would highly recommend this place for time away to relax and recharge. We will go back again. Deb the host was very friendly and helpful.

Deb was a helpful host who ensured we had everything we needed. We travelled with two Great Danes who had a secured yard to explore and flooring was suitable for their beds to be laid in front of a warm pot belly heater. Provisions in the kitchen were useful. Thank you .

Thank you for a lovely stay, the space was great. We had everything we needed for a quick stopover on our trip. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the bush setting. Pity it wasnā€™t cold enough to have the fire on. Lounge comfortable. Has Foxtel but no wifi. Kitchen a bit small if you like to cook. Small fenced area attached to house so easy to toilet the dog. Host helped with fixing gas for hot water. Nice bath tub. Air conditioner and extra blankets available.

Five sisters travelling the south coast. Falling waters was the perfect place to start and end our adventure. The self contained cottage was perfect and our host was most accommodating of our late arrival. Great cabin in the woods
A nice little cabin in the woods, surrounded by nice grounds and lush state forest. Falling waters is a drive to anywhere, but that is also part of the charm. I especially appreciated the coffee machine with a generous amount of pods. Thanks Deb.
