Mljet accommodation from NZ$290

Walking into the hotel, the pictures simply do not do it justice. The name is appropriate, it’s a huge remarkable building filled with all the amenities you could thing of and short of having a golf course and a water taxi they have it all. The rooms are clean, modern, well decorated and well appointed. There is great quiet aircon in every room and plush comfortable beds. For the price point through Hotels.com I honestly feel I underpaid compared to other places I’ve stayed which were far less nice for more money! My only tribulation is the food and the theme is not solely the hotel but the whole of Dubrovnik. Being a 5 star hotel (whatever that means here) I was expecting some amazing food too and whilst breakfast was great and I would recommend getting that as part of your stay. Evening buffet was very lack luster, tepid food, with less choice than breakfast. They do have some finer dining options of which I also tried out. The food was good but again their idea of a 150€ quality meal and my idea differ. Overall though, an excellent clean and surprisingly fantastic hidden gem on the Adriatic coast. You must stay here if you go to Dubrovnik (buses here from the city all day every 15 mins). Definitely get breakfast but go out to the city for dinner 😅
